Pulled for speeding **** up.

Featured Replies

Hi, i was "pulled" the other day going through Middle Wallop by an officer in a new blue VRS doing 55 in a 40 so it was a "fair cop". The officer walked up to my window and gave me the usual speech then said he wouldn't prosecute me as when he was getting out of the car he knocked the machine and wiped out the evidence. He then told me to blow into his breathalyser and the battery went flat in it. At this point he gave up and let me carry on to work. Needless to say i'm driving like a nun at the moment.

You are lucky on so many counts.

Very lucky, but that's funny :)

ill bet he will be looking out for you now.

He was feeling very generous then, cos AFAIK the "evidence" of VASCAR or any other system is just a secondary proof of speed. If he had seen that device had given your speed, that would be good enough for a prosecution.

A copper I used to work with knocked someone off for speeding while he was on foot patrol with no LASAR/RADAR gun, just the admission of guilt under caution from the driver.

I think I'd get yourself down the papershop and put your numbers on for wednesday.

I wouldn't bother - it's clearly all been used up!

Lucky or what! Why does that never happen to me!?

Who was in the new blue VRS - you or the policeman. If it was the PC it's nice to see the local force have good taste in cars instead of going for something clatty like a BMW 5-series !!

officer in a new blue VRS

I'm guessing the PC

where's middle wallop??

between upper and lower Wallop ?

Actually, yes

(Sussex)

What a place for the breathalyser batteries to give out!

Incindentally, is there a Great(er) Wallop too?

where's middle wallop??

Army Air Corps base in Hampshire isn't it

Army Air Corps base in Hampshire isn't it

I think so; if not it's because it's an RAF field rather than because it's not in Hampshire!

between upper and lower Wallop ?

It's between Over and Nether Wallop

Some cracking roads around there too

Chris

Army Air Corps base in Hampshire isn't it

:o

i should be ashamed, that's only about 30 miles from here and i'd never heard of it
