Just got my Columbus today from cds_and_dvds_online. All fitted and working perfectly. Also picked the antenna adapter from Seat to resolve the AM/FM problem - happy days!

Mine has showed up today as well from cds_and_dvds_online, Had some fun working out how to remove the bolero (scared myself in the process), but will have it fitted after a triip to the post office.

You managed to carefully unclip the front fascia from the Bolero then :)

Have you got the part number for the adapter?. I need one in mine really, but still not got round to it.

5P0 035 225 was the one I used.

Could do with one of these things myself.

OK - who is gonna do a group buy? :)

Looks like I need one of these for the Bolero too. I did wonder about that when I fitted it :)

Some more info, and a photo:

Aren't they 78 Euros?! Isn't that ridiculously expensive?

I've just dropped a couple of local SEAT dealers an email asking about the original part:

5P0 035 225

And asked for availability and price - I'll post back if I get a response.

I have mentioned that there appears to be a totally different part available with the code:

5P0 035 225a

And explained that is not what I want!

OK - then possibly our best bet is to get a few of us together who want one of these cables and split the shipping between us.

Now I'm willing to act as "chairman" on this if you like.

Just as a test I put 10 of these in my shopping basket and shipping for those would be 14.28€ so only 1.42€ on each item, plus what it costs for me to send them out.

So I'm not sure if this should move to the "Group Buy" section or not.

However if you're seriously interested in this cable say so in this thread.

I'll drop you a PM to confirm and we'll see if we can at least save on the shipping?

There's this one that dstev2000 posted info on a while back from Kufatec:

VW antenna adapter - junction - FAKRA

...this would also do the same job as the Skodateile one linked to earlier.

This cable (which I'm going to try and get a Group Buy on) is 24€ and a cable.

The one at Skodateile.cz is 78€ and a small box of tricks.

Do both devices actually do the same thing?

I don't want to get people involved with a group buy on the cable, we get them in and then find they don't do as expected :)

I have emailed Kufatec.

Thanks for the replies yes I have an octavia l&k with maxidot . What's the difference between a b and c

Nothing jumps out & screams dodgy - He (she??) is definitely one of the trusted sellers that others on here have bought from... decent price too.

It's a 1Z unit - you have an Octavia??

Can't see anything blindingly obvious that's amiss there - go for it!!

yeah, pre-facelift Octavia Mk2 (Maxidot)... so this seemed ideal - messaged him and he says its as good as new...

...by the time i've made my mind up someone else will probably have bought it! :D

Then get in there!

I'm still trying to juggle some figures. I'm sure when baby arrives baby can live with Aldi Value value range nappies for a few months

Guys are you saying the rns510 does not working with mfsw on pre face lift octavia's has anybody got this to work?

it works fine with the MFSW on pre-facelift cars, however it must be a 1Z0 unit and not a 3T0 unit.
