A gentle Nag

Featured Replies

OK, most of you have Skodas.

You either bought them from dealers or have used dealers to maintain them.

Could I make a gentle request that you take the time to place a review of the dealer in the reviews section?

To those of you who have already done this, many thanks.

The reviews can be very useful to current owners and to future owners, so your help would be most appreciated (oh and Denis spent ages typing all the dealers in so it would be a shame for his work to be in vain).

Maybe an incentive...The best review made wins a prize...

Yes, the best review(s) made about your dealer(s) (+ or -) wins a prize from my prize pot*

*Prize pot consists of many things up the the value of about 20quid, more reviews increases your chances of one of them being the best, maximum number of prizes 1 or 2.

Good idea Colin re the prizes

It just got me thinking that we've had a few comments lately about "bad" dealers /services yet no reviews saying so. Also had a couple of really good experiences which, yet again, aren't recorded.

Please note:-

Thanks :D

When I saw the title of this, I thought it was something to do with horses... :o

About to do a review myself, before I get "horsed" :D

Done. :)

Just had a look through and I notice that reviews are starting to appear :D

Looks like, on the whole, there are some jolly good dealers out there :D Lots of 8s & 9s, which is excellent. Was strange, looked in one area (near where they hang monkeys ;) ) and noticed one dealer getting a slating, including a guy lookingfor a new dealer - so, if he looks at the other dealer in his area, it has an average rating of 9 instaed of the 3 for the one he is using.

See, it could be useful, with your input, so, get typing! :D

Just realised that i forgot to give them a rating, now corrected :)

Hadnt noticed previously made reviews had gone with the new look

Jon,

You need to add a new one in Buckinghamshire

Pilling Skoda

Westcroft

Milton Keynes.

We are open to the public as of Monday next week. We will be having a public open evening shortly, I believe it is open to all and I will get some dates and times for those who want to come down and see our new facility.

Cheers

Ross

Now added to dealer list. DGW :)

I've noticed that dealer ratings are frozen after the first review - I can't adjust my rating of a particular dealer following further experience of them.

Done and dusted.

Is there some way that the dealers can be sorted to show who get's the best and worst reviews, in a table by order or something?

Andy

I can't "officially" comment on the dealer as I haven't officially "used" them - after all, not even open "officially" until Monday.

However, Ross did "test" out the brand spanking new uber-expensive 5101 or whatever it is to clear a couple of fault codes on my furby today. Brand spanking new premises with a very modern, clean and tidy workshop. Still smelt more of paint drying than used oil ;)

You'll need to add another Mitchell Skoda to the list too. You have the West Kirby branch listed but not the one at Cheshire Oaks. They've just moved out of the temporary showroom there into a brand new - and really nice - showroom! It's a shared marque dealership with Skoda/Mazda in the new one and the existing Lexus showroom just offset to it...

Same quality staff, some have moved up there. Fred Arnell included - a really genuine and top guy... :)

I'm just about to p/x my Focus TDCi Sport next week for a Fabia vRS (should've bought it last year instead of the Focus  ). That'll be 2 Furby vRS' in the family as my Dad got one last year from Fred at Mitchells. Fantastic dealer, the new place is superb, I was taken on a guided tour of the place yesterday. Having been used to crummy Ford dealers for the last few years, I was totally gobsmacked by this place...

Looking forward to my Saturday mornings in future, wake up, go down to Mitchells to have my car washed for free, whilst I wait upstairs in the big plush leather chairs - watching TV on the Panasonic plasma, eating croissants/cakes etc, all washed down with a nice hot chocolate, then back off home in a nice shiny vRS... :D

The way you are treated makes you feel important and special, my Dad's had 3 Skodas from them, my neighbour 2 Lexus' and I'm almost certainly going to be a customer for life... ;)

Liam, is the Cheshire Oaks dealership the one currently shown on Skoda UK's site as being in Stanney Mill Lane, with a different telephone number? I have added the Cheshire Oaks dealership to the Reviews section on the assumption that it is.

Yes Dennis, it is. I've just had a look on Skoda's website and the number they're quoting is the number Mitchells used whilst in the temporary showroom but that old number is still valid for the time being I believe.

The address and numbers I posted and you copied are the new, correct ones... :)

I'll review it once I've picked the car up... ;)

Thanks, Liam. :)

Dennis Horton the Lincoln Skoda dealership start trading from their plush new premises on Monday 4th October 2004. They are leaving the old Washinborough garage after some 40+ years on the same site.
