I'm thinking of getting NOS installed on my Octy 4x4 with a progressive controller. It can go upto 100bhp but I'm thinking of going for around 50bhp for starters. Just wondered what people's opinions are and if anyone on here has it?

There's a few 600bhp R32's running on the standard haldex.

Josh was very pleased with the NOS on his Polo but I'm more interested in 1.8T applications.

My - unverified - opinion is that NOS is an expensive way of getting a performance boost for a very short period of time. Great if your thing is traffic light sprints or RWYB days at drag strips. Otherwise, unless you've literally got money to burn, I can't see the point. JMHO. :cheers:

Eddy , you could perhaps ask Rich1068 , as he seems to have had a bit of work done by James just recently , and seems very impressed ..........don't think he's got NOS though !....................or failing that TaviaRS would be your best bet .

I posted in the hope someone on here had tried it. If there is anyone on here hopefully they'll see it.

Nos will give similar performance to a big turbo for around 1/4 the price. With a progressive system the gas lasts quite along time; around 5mins continuous use at WOT. How often do you use WOT on the road for more than a few seconds? Yes I am interested in RWYB days, they're one of the frequent events over on uk-mkivs.
