Carl how easy was it to do your autotech internals i looked at the instructions which seem ok, but im still dubious as it'd ruin the engine if i **** it up,

im just about to order some for mine, cant be having your car beat me too badly when i get over there.

it'll be good to see your new RR graph. when you popping back to JKM then??

The internals are very easy to do but you have to be extremely careful.

The parts are precision machined and if you so much as drop it you are fooked.

It took me & my dad about 5 hours to do. BUT i was being over cautious and photographing each step so that if i fooked it up i had something to reference (no i don't have the pics anymore). You could quite easily do it in about 1 1/2 hrs

Oh you will need a very deep 18mm socket to get at a nut inside the pump

However why are you risking getting the internals. If i was doing it now id get the APR pump.

I know its basically the same thing and costs about £600 but at least you know its a quality piece of kit and it wont go wrong. Lot of people have had problems with the latest internals. So much that JKM have stopped selling them

Im booked back in at JKM next thursday. If i don't get a decent result then im going to cry. But as i said I'm getting comparable times to Mickey32 so I'm hoping for something good. I'm not saying its sorted until i have a Definitive answer from the RR.

but its 600 quid. just for a fuel pump. im going to have a go at your in gear acceleration tests to see what figures i get in mine some time this week,

Im booked back in at JKM next thursday.

Give me a reminder nearer the time and I'll join you for a brew + I'm very intrested in the results too :)

Steve the autotech internals i bought off you is exellent, done 25k on it now.

From what I can make out the earlier ones have been perfectly Ok but there have been issues more recently but whether that's down to poor installation or a manufacturing flaw I personally wouldn't want to take the risk.

Very pleased that my old pump is doing well for you now though (I do miss mine a LOT on occasions :o)

Got to agree with the APR pump, if I were buying one I'd go APR. Jim and Keith explained the issues to me at length and IIRC Keith has posted the full story here too. As Steve says the early ones that we all had seem fine but the later ones had issues, maybe these are corrected now I don't know but if you use one and then see your oil level rising be very worried!!

I may be available for a cuppa and a biscuit next week too Carl.

Happy days mate i'll give you a shout/bell on Thurs to see if your free.

If it doesnt work now im going to go chicken oriental :mad: and the car will be staying with them till it is

I can't see what else the problem can be now as the whole presseure side of the system has been stripped, cleaned, checked & rechecked 4 TIMES now and other than the swelling pipe their wasn't a problem anywhere.
