0-60 figures with revo!!!!

Featured Replies

Hi i am thinking of getting a revo box for my furby Vrs, just wondering if any of you soot heads have had yours done and what the 0-60 times were if you have tested it, also has anyone went up against a cooper S and what happened if you did.

Cheers guys and gals if you have any feedback

Revo isn't a box, it's a remap. You can buy an SPS1 for Revo, which is a box, but this just changes between stock and performance modes.

There was a Clarkson review saying that on the track, a Furby would destroy a Cooper S... and that's standard.

wasn't a Cooper S was just a Cooper.

MY furby would destroy a cooper S :D

I rekon youll be looking at mid/low 7 for a remapped car... even lower if you get better tyres :)

just bear in mind that oilburners are rubbish to 60.. but are devastating in mid-range... so if your getting a rolling start from 2nd... you will do pretty well (altho with revo, traction in 2nd is a problem... even with toyos)

I got low 7s with my G-Tech performance Meter

Dave.

You need to ask C.J. about this.

He was sprinting his against a cooper S works the other weekend.

If I remember rightly the mini didn't beat him until the Sunday. :D

In fact I'm sure I can hear him typing with his tanned fingers right now

Hi Ginger, as Andy say's, yes I did have mine up against cooper s works at Ty Croes 6 weeks ago. Bit difficult to make a proper comparison really as I don't know if the guy had been to the circuit before..I have..many times. Suppose you could therefore say that his 220bhp and superior cornering abilities were possibly outweighed by my knowledge of the circuit, would really need someone who saw what was going on to make a more balanced judgement.

All I know was that mine performed admirably, and I and others were totally suprised just how well it performed against much more, on paper anyway, powerful machinery.

I mean I don't consider that being beaten by a regular competitor and mate of mine in a 4wd 450 bhp well sorted Sierra Cosworth by less than 5 seconds a lap to be too bad!

The guy in the mini eventually hauled me in..as I realistically expected him too,but at his best by only just under 2 seconds over 2 laps, so I suppose to answer your question, yes, I think a remapped Fabia would have a cooper s in std form.

I had a situation the other day where i had a cooper s behind me off a roundabout, and the bloke inside looked like a proper chav. So i thought go on then lets have a gander..... and then it happened at about 65 he went past me laughing. NO MORE!!!! I need REVO NOW only problem is I am in newcastle and don't know where to go to get it done. Please help me.

IIRC there's a Revo dealer in Newcastle and 1 down in Darlington. Take a look on Revo's site for more info :)

oky thanks for that mate, i have just fianlly found the site, I am and internet biff. Yeah there is one in blaydon about 10 miles from me, might have to get in there this week some time. Have any of you lot suprised any quick cars with the revo. Some storys would be good. What about Civ type R? or clio 172/182 just want to know my limits when i get it fitted. I managed to see off a saxo VTS the other day and when i stopped to talk to him he realised that i was in a diesel and nearly started to cry. I love the shock factor.:thumbup:

My TDCi which I just had on the rollers at 170bhp after a remap pulled 1 car length on my brothers clio 172 (from about 20mph upwards), the he hawled me back in just after a ton. Jabbasport seem to get 10 bhp more on average than Revo though? or are Revo better, any comparisons? and would a Dastek unichip just be the best of the lot?

Theres lots of options regards to which "brand" remap to go for, all have advantages and disadvantages... its really up to you which you choose :)

my Revo powered car got 183bhp and 317lb/ft which is on a par with Jabba figures.. altho you cant really compare them as they were produced on different RRs.

Whats AMD like compared to Jabba and Revo?

Well Jabba maps have on average 20-30 more than APR's published figures; but I can pull away ;)

Too many variables to be totally fair, thus they all achieve similar real world results.

The closest test I have done is with an AP22 meter, it showed where the grunt of the maps were. Jabba appeared to be top end and mine at the time which was APR to be lower down.

*end / low down refers to the range of turbo, not rev range.

Have a look around; I choose mine before a time of REVO. Location was primary as I had other plans so needed somebody I could call in on. It just happens I could push my car to Awesome GTi if the need arises :D

I'd be up for watching that

My Revo'd Furby could slay the following;

BMW 325i (easily)

Leon Cupra 180bhp (fairly easily)

Clio 172 (straight line over 30mph, no bends or standing start ;) )

Focus ST170 (very easily)

And was neck and neck with a Civic Type R up to 90mph

Also identical performance to a Corrado VR6 on a dual carriageway a few weeks back, much to the owners annoyance

All of the above of course could have had something to do with drivers ability..............
