What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

I had a stone chip on the spoiler which resulted in the lacquer lifting and flaking off...

So, I decided to purchase some Carbon Fibre vinyl wrap, rub down the affected area with some Wet and Dry and try something different...

Here is the finished result, what do we all think? :)

Looks really good mate, works with the blue sides

Hoovered it after a week in the Isle of Wight with 2 very small children and lots of sand. Just need to sort the bird poo on the outside, may pop to the poles down the road for £6 and hope they don't miss too much

led out some mk II escorts on a run last Saturday taking in some great driving roads

I have just done nothing today for my car, yesterday I pent my 4 hours in cleaning it so today I am just enjoying its driving :giggle:

Took the car to a good tyre place, got my wheels balanced properly and a proper Corghi 4 wheel alignment!

Got some Asymmetric 2's put on the rear, so now have a full set. Car is so much better drive!

Next week:

- 2 x Front Brakes

- 2 x Front Pads

- New Earth Wire

- 2 x Powerflex bush arms for the front

- 4 wheel laser alignment

Have you noticed much difference mate? As above, getting mine done next week

yes, mine was well out of wack, car drives much much better!

What differences have you noticed mate? Getting any more mpg as a result of it?

Dropped it off the drive to get the mrs' car out. Looked at it parked up on the curb, amber side lights on in the pouring rain, rain beading off the paintwork and wheels, stance looking perfect, and thought yes, I still love this car, quite happy not changing it for a good while yet - let's do more stuff to it. :sun:

Took mum to do weekly shopping when getting petrol hoped the car would not play up and start second go but she was good and although did jump a bit it did start first turn but clutch feeling a bit odd and of courses she still huckers and misfires at low revs. Need new back windscreen wiper and one of my brakes works but sounds a bit dry and my friendly mechanic should be fitting new cam shaft sensor in the hope it solves my starting problem. More driving tomorrow for mum

Cleaned inside and out, hoovered, clayed and polished. Devonutopia also cleared my airbag light issue.

All set for Wales now tomorrow for a week!

Gave it a quick wash then took it in for MOT, passed with no advisories. B)

Drove to a Skoda dealer in Stourbridge and picked up some rivets for when the window regulator is done.

Left it gathering dust whilst I use a MkIII. Boy is it slow compared to the vRS.

Full clean today.I,m still happy to own it and don,t plan on getting rid.

Thrashed it around Bedford at the How Fast event with other Skoda's off Briskoda.

Started to fit coilovers to my octavia vrs. One nut is fubared. and my right drivers rear caliper decided to seize. Not a great day. New nut and bolt ordered and now on look out for a new/used caliper :/

Washed, hoovered and polished both today.

tried to work out how I was going to route the hose and catch can for the elephant mod - there's chuff all space under the bonnet.

The opposite to this. Washed, polished, waxed ready for France on Friday and started thinking I don't want to go any further with it. So jumped onto autotrader and looking at possible replacements... If it wasn't for the tax band, those Vectra VXR estates in the other thread would be very tempting!

Today, I emptied the ashtray, shaved .00000000000003 off my 0-60 time, happy days

Walked home and saw it sat there still gleaming from yesterday.

Came in and started making mental lists of what I'm going to do to it
