  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Bought a set of alloys & winter tyres for my octy........no getting stuck in the snow for me this year!

Detailed it…. finished buffing the wax off under an umbrella in a thunder storm  :wall:

I haven't got a Skoda to do anything to  :(

Filled an SD card with music and inserted it into the stereo. First car I've had with that option.

Used it to form the top of the E in "YETI", on a hill overlooking the Motor Heritage Centre at Gaydon...

Well, I didn't do it :(

Put roof bars on to go and buy mattresses, couldn't find my ratchet straps and the shop has to order the mattresses in anyway. 3 week wait! Straps ordered on eBay and they'll come in handy for the kayak if I ever go out on it this year.

Sat in sodding traffic :(

Fitted some 'new' MkIV Golf blue tinted wing mirrors.

£4/ each from the scrap yard, easy mod, just a few minutes and lengthen the heater wires. Pop out and pop on the backs for the adjustment.

Got the new tax disc and put it in today. After a week of driving wihout it. Quite legally of course...

Looked at it longingly wishing I could drive it to my hospital appointment on Friday (shoulder post-op) :(

1. Tax disc arrived today so fitted that..

washed them both

I know what that's like; had to have mine operated on a few years ago, big scars, screws and a bone graft from my hip after an accident. At least it doesn't dislocate every other week now :)

Thanks Lee.  Fortunately mine's not that bad and I'm expecting to be able to drive next Thursday after I've seen the physio.  Made me realise all the things you can't easily just go out and do without the car.

Had the mk1 serviced.

Fitted the mic for the RNS315 Bluetooth, poked around with VCDS and activated the RVC. Now when I engage reverse, I get a black screen. I supose I should sort the camera itself next then! :)

Gone fishing in it.

Gone fishing in it.

How did you get it watertight and how did the fish get in? :D
