  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Currently getting my MOT done

Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk

Got two punctures repaired.

A monster screw in each front tyre!

Two new tyres fitted on mine this morning.

Me too - got a puncture repaired

had something jump up between the disc and caliper which made a horrid noise for 10 seconds and then went thankfully.

New headlight bulbs and sidelight bulbs.

Considering when to fit the Audi winter wheels I bought for £100.

Going to be a moving van again next week!

Took bits of fallen tree to the tip in her, got my first 4 degree "bong" of the year at the tip. Helped by the dog I cleaned leaves and bits of bark from the load area, then checked the antifreeze strength - ok - and headed back inside for a cuppa. Must remember to book an MOT today.  :)

Yesterday I ordered the correct winter tyre and steel for the spare

Sunday checked the oil, hoovered the inside and topped up the screenwash

Friday, took delivery of some snow snocks and some chains - not sure which ones we're keeping and which are going to be gifted to the in-laws

Thursday, ordered the wrong winter tyre (is there an animated icon for 'imbecile' ;)  )

Managed to get a huge stone chip just above the offside headlight.  :(

Spent 1/4 hour in the works car park adjusting the recently replaced o/s headlight (2nd hand from breakers) - my drive is too short and on a slope to do it at home.

Lovely now - level dipped beam cut off, can see where I'm going on full and dipped, and nobody flashes me any more.

Forked out £97 for a new tyre.  :@

Put a bath towel over the front windscreen to stop it icing up again.. Then it rained..

Hope it wasn't tucked in the door

remembered to tax it

Maybe it was.. It worked though..

I only ask as I did that and when it rained the water got in and made the door and part of my seat wet

I did think that might happen, but I reckon it probably froze before it had chance..

Found a cut in the front nearside tyre wall. Luckily the winters are going on this weekend so I get a few months to save up.

My wallet is now £280 lighter thanks to 4 new tyres. Good price though.

Noticing that the VIN is wrong on the V5 for my car...

I popped a coolant hose about 15 miles from home, decided to relocate the expansion tank as a result of it.. Poorly engineered solution originally by myself during the engine transplant... Wish I'd thought about it more to start with.

Stocked up for the winter

Washed it for the first time in 3 weeks

Just finished lovingly drying it, as it started hailing it down with hailstones like golf balls...

Grrrrrr....

Drained the oil, crossed the threads on the sump putting the plug back in, fitted new oil filter, bought new sump and then apologised to the car.

Tomorrow I shall be fitting the new sump  First time for everything
