  • Picked up the new VRS: 2013 Fabia VRS by Graeme_Smith, on Flickr

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Fitted my new drivers side wing mirror indicator after a taxi driver decided to smash the other one off and then gave it a good clean

Took Mrs Stigs bran new Ferbi vRS out with Little Stig for a play, sorry, enjoyable drive :giggle:

Gave it a Snowfoam, wash, wipe, waxed with Zymol Z12 and a Zaino Z8 wipe down, follwed by a hoover all ready for Mrs Stig to show it off at work tomorrow :D

Cleaned, snow foamed, polished, sealed , hoovered, conditioned the leather etc mine accepting the fact that as the Mrs works in the middle of no-where and has to drive down a muddy country lane everyday for work it'll be filthy again now.

I had to get my hands dirty yesterday physically removing handfuls of mud from the arches :-(

... Also attempted to fit my black B & C pillar trims but gave up trying to remove the window rubbers which were stuck fast, i'm not good with fiddly things like vinyl so any excuse to give up suited me fine, lol.

Ouch, hope you took photos of the damage to the other car

Yup, left my number on a note on the windscreen, but not heard anything as of yet.

Modified my oil breather as it has been very smelly recently! It appears to be a bit better now :)

Hopefully if the damage isn't to bad, you could try and avoid involving the insurance company (but that might be up to the other party)

Replaced the wiper blades, topped up with oil and washed with Karcher jet wash my partners 53 plate Ford Fusion 2.

For Under a tenner I fitted a bonnet lifter strut from a mk5 Golf.....works a treat.

Won the Durham Automoblie club navigational champinship

Johann do you have a link for those LED/SMD's? this is something I need to do but want pure white with no blue tint, which you seem to have?

Martin

Just search eGay for W5W SMD LED. You will get loads of them. I'll have a look tomorrow as i may have a couple spare but don't hold me to it.

As for what i did today - I removed my DV Relocation kit :)

Cheers Carl but there are thousands on there!

I was trying to eliminate the trial and error aspect :giggle:

I assume all interior lights can be non canbus friendly? (not that it makes much difference in the price of most of them)

Martin: this is not just a changed bulb. You change the whole fitting. See this thread:

http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/179992-upgrading-the-yeti-boot-light/

You can either buy a twin set from the Octavia page or a single light from the Yeti page. Not sure how many a Superb has.

The only interior lights that are Canbus are the Door Warning lights (The red/white ones to let cars know they are open at night)

None of the others are monitored :)

Ah bugger emoticon-0106-crying.gif they do look very similar to the Superb lights (took one out a couple of weeks ago) and I would be surprised if they were actually a different part No.
