  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Machine polished waxed and sealed the car, not bad shine considering how dull it is

Not today but this weekend... I got some chap with a pressure washer and bucket of cruddy water to wash it for me

Last week someone opened their door into it and gave it another chunk out of the paint so I CBA with busting my ****s trying to keep it looking nice any more :(

Did something exceptionally stupid involving the boot lid and my automatic garage door.

I now have a vertical scratch on the boot lid and damage to my silver bling boot strip.

This just reminded me of a time in 1992 when I dropped the garage door on the bonnet of my Dads Pug 405 GRDT. He'd not long had it, blew some steam and then later conceded it was his own fault for parking the car too far up the drive in the first place while the door was open.

Hope you're able to get it repaired, low cost!

EDIT: Typo

Could be worse I suppose

ow!! just been polishing a gowdge / scratch that some kind soul left on my car last night at a restaurant, thoght they were parked close but just looked at passenger door ,( it is usually children that swing doors open, but no it was the driver! ! :wall:

SWMBO decided to wash the Fabia today, scuppered my plans for tomorrow, just means I will have to finish off working in the conservatory.

Davy

Changed the nearside headlamp, bought a pattern one in January that someone had backed into, and took it back under warranty, kept steaming up and the main beam bulb didn't sit right , Hella one £40 more though!

Checked the coolant level hadn't dropped any after I topped it up last night :)

Thanks to Martin on here I've had a few goodies changed on my car this morning:

I now have a huge MPH display in the Maxidot. Perfect for that invisible 30 and 70 markings.

My needles sweep when I start the car.

My DRLs switch off on the side that my indicator is flashing on.

My Xenons no longer come on as coming home/leaving home lights. My fogs now do that job.

We set the cruise control display to active as well but as per a Superb it did not work on my car for some reason.

Thank you very much Martin!

I'm only iPhone so will upload a video to YouTube later and some pics.

$200 to respray the tailgate - about 100 quid. :(

Fitted my freshly-refurbished Evolo alloys and dropped the ride height on the coilovers. Looking swish, if I say so myself B)

Could be worse I suppose

If this is of any comfort for you.... I did it all by myself....
