  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Bit of tape makes it look slightly better!

Finally I finished off the sub install a bit:

Cut a hole in the trim:

Then added a grille to protect the sub:

Fitted a Ripspeed RS Very stubby Ariel from Halfords £9.99 reception fine only 120mm in length, code number 919647

Re-fitted my original rear shocks and springs.

I still don't have the front coilovers yet, so can't get a cert for the adjustable suspension. No cert means no warrant of fitness (MOT) and and my warrant is due in a couple of weeks.

Looks a bit stilt-like now, though that was before I gave it chance to re-settle

New genuine VRS mats! :)

Snow foamed, rinsed, washed, dryed with Megs Speed Detailer and drying towel, toped up wax with Zymol Z12 and wiped down with Zainio Z8. Cleaned glass with Megs Glass Cleaner and hoovered out the cabin. Result, 1 shiny Octi vRS B)

Fabia fixed and winter tyres are on.

Gave it a MEGA CLEAN, tacking out bottom grills headlights and no plate to really do properly, will last about 5 mins down the road!

Got the car washed - first time since October

Next plan - I have some bits on the way to replace and tidy up that bright blue catch can pipework that I've never really liked the look of.

Don't worry I sorted out those kinks in the pipe after taking the pics

Also spent 2 hours doing the SWMBO's Mazda with Cut n Shine (the local equivalent of T-Cut) - looks really shiny now and it got out a few of the surface scratches.

Let's see some pictures! please....

Here you go

Looks good Rob very nice, but I cant help thinking, your engine bay is immaculate yet you have gaffer , or duck tape on your trim by your steering column , why don't you replace that ?

Fitted replacement tail lights, cleaned the inside & re sealed the O/S passenger door carrier. Hopefully that will sort out the damp foot well!

swapped front wheels/tyres to rear and rear to front.

Found a split hose under engine cover bodged with some copper pipe nad clamped in place.

Lets see if that gets rid of the horrible sickly sweet smell thats in the car at idle :wonder:

absorbed all water off inside of windscreen (hoping no rear door leaks as was quite a bit, but no damp floors)

Gave car & wheels a good wash as not been done for a while. Easy job with the wax still fresh on the paint.

Ummm, that's it....

Suceeded in getting an average of 41 MPG, Not sure how accurate the on board computer is buy hey, lol...

Here you go

They look good... I am considering buying some myself... are they clip on? cup like? :-)
