What did you do to your Skoda today?

By the way Dave LE on a Lexus does not mean limited edition, it was a standard model that they made in the thousands, it was just the top model, luxury edition, and lexus stands for luxury export to united states ( LExUS)

Afraid you're off track there..... It's the Limited Edition model that only ran for 12 months. You can only get them on 53 & 04 plates and the very occasional 54 plate and only come in one colour (Kodiak Sky Grey). The 200 version got xenons as standard (the only 200 to get them) the special colour, limited edition grille, along with full leather instead of leather/suede, dashtop covered storage and special alloys. All the IS300 version got extra was the dashtop storage, colour, Limited Edition grille and the wheels as xenons and full leather were standard on the 300. As it turned out the dashtop storage and wheels were added as options to the normal range in the last year the cars were produced.

Have a look on Parkers when looking at used car prices etc.... you'll find one of the spec levels on the IS200 and IS300 is for the Limited Edition. I remember when we had the IS200 before we were in the dealership for something and i picked up a brochure for the Limited Edition and said then we should have got one of those instead.... Then 6 years later i did.

Cheers

Dave.

I stand corrected, you should post up a better picture as your car looks like a normal LE , the wheels look the same, I thought you had fitted the HIDS, what mpg you getting, got 24 in my sport, still miss it, but it was like having a second mortgage!

Just did some digging the car was an se , later called an LE but nearly the same apart from badges and lights, , when I had mine the salesman called the LE luxury edition though? same wheels as an se too

I'm getting 25mpg at the minute which is only one-point-odd less than the official figures and not too bad for a 3 litre 6 cylinder engine design that is now twenty years old!!!

The wheels from the Limited Edition were introduced as an option on all IS's for the final 12 months or so which means that as the same thing happened with the dash storage all that you got different with the IS300 Limited Edition in the end was the colour and grille. :o The extra toys you get over the IS200 make up for it anyways. ;)

Anyway.... Enough of this Lexus talk in this thread.... We can turn into Lexii geeks at the Yorks meet in a couple of weeks.

Cheers

That was my weekend... :)

Brimmed it and then nearly fainted.

Washed it!

SWMABO complained she couldn't tell what colour it was.

Seems to have lots of small black dots on the bottom half from all the resurfacing they're doing around home, so it looks like I'm going to have to get the polish out.
