  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Seriously though. I can recommend you some that dont cause a warning if you're struggling (:

Yeah really been playing round with it all week haha and the numberplate lights don't bother me to much, i ordered them off eBay just on the off chance they wouldn't throw up a error but it hasn't seem to bother me as much as i thought it would.

Soaked up the water in the spare tyre well...

Cleaned the rear seats again.

And completed 12v installation. Thanks to FUBAR's guide.

missing a rubber grommet?

Good point.

Dumb question but where is the usual place they escape from?

I do not recall seeing anything missing.

there are some holes there for towing electrics to be fed through I'm sure they are under the tyre and around the edges. its too late to go and check on mine :D

If I get the chance (dad duty day) I will shove it in my mother's garage and get a torch...It is widdling rain here this morning [emoji20]

What length are they mate? Not familiar with that car.

Any of then from hids direct IMO. I've used quite a few from them and never had a single warning

I can't remember the length!

What skoda do you have

The (my) Octavia 2 facelift is quit funny about leds in the number plate. Even canbus friendly leds will throw an error.

I've got a 2013 fabia.

Never had a problem with the hids direct ones tbh

Interesting!

Surely a resistor would do the same though? Just needs a bigger one? Haha.

I have already fitted one at each led.

But it is after 4 month giving an error message. Not every time i start the car.

Think I have to look in to it. ;)

Just about run in the Fabia Mk1 vRS with 200bhp n 300lb.ft today.

Took it in to Autohaus Dolby for a major service (Variable). No other problems to report by the guys there so should be good for another 18-24 months or so hopefully. :)

Finally got the GoodYear vector 4 seasons fitted.

And the difference is amazing. I reckon i could actually hear a passenger now. (What were the old ones n where do you get them, i hear you say ;) haha)

Done 45 miles already. Taking it steady which i dont know if you need to on new car tyres, but you do on bike ones, so i was anyway.

Threw it into a corner on the way back though. Loads n loads of grip. Maybe just doesnt quite hold a line aswell as a summer tyre, but its a small price to pay.

Proper impressed so far (:

Should be for £340 (discounted) i guess.

Good effort. Did consider these as a winter set on the Yeti.

If they were brand new, there's some transport film on them usually - so I tend to go easy for 50 miles or so just to get them bedded in a bit.
