Ironically, those wheels came off today and my winter set went on ☺☺

Seeing as it was snowing at the time, it seemed like good timing!

Jungle is tricky to photograph; appears quite different in real life. And even then, you can catch it different lights.

Looking good Steve!

Fitted a new CTS and topped up the PAS fluid. Looked at where the thermostat is and decided I don't fancy tackling it!

Bought it two Continental 850's. Cleaned all the rubbish off the flat tyre's winter alloy since it is easy to get to. [emoji20]

Conti TS850 winters? Seem to review well

Where did you buy from?

Last week, but tested my ABS out. Thankfully all good.

Apologies, there is a little bit of choice language at the end

Nice save that

Appropriate language for the circumstances I'd say!

As ever - expect the unexpected :)

Indeed, I did wonder if it was going to venture back but thankfully just gave me a look and went on its way

Know what you mean. Have had a few meetings with them on Scottish roads. Worst is when they freeze and then you're not sure which way they'll go! Think that's what causes the issue sometimes, as people try to swerve at the same time - and end up in the undergrowth.

All you can do is come to a stop in a straight line as quickly as possible, and hope for the best

Yea, slammed on the brakes and moved at the very last minute just in case, thankfully it decided it wanted to live another day

One of only a handful of cars which can carry off brown :)

Jungle green is clearly a derivative of brown

About as much use as an ash tray on a bike

Get some pics up Mike. Is it fixable?

We'll call it a trick of the light Bryan! If I'd have wanted a brown car I'd have bought one, not a green one ;)

Sorry to hear that Mike. Hope its not too painful in the morning.

Least you weren't in one of the Octy's eh? Least that's something :)

Pic in the previous post now -- yes, it looks a lot worse than it is. Slam panel, front panel bumper, grille, one headlight and a bonnet. It will be back on the road in a couple of days.

Standard of brakes actually not too bad, but that was irrelevant -- two bloody deer jumped over a hedge into the road, I missed the first one completely and hit the second before I hit the brakes! Just glad I didn't have any passengers on.

Taking a couple of painkillers tonight, shoulder really beginning to sting now.

Mike

You really must stop wiping these vehicles out with your reckless (not wreckless) driving, Mike

Wear you on the way to pick up a stag party?

Hope the pain dies down soon

Glad you're OK Mike, those things don't half make a mess

Hi

Got them from MyTyres. Order placed on Sunday evening, shipped yesterday morning so ought to be at the garage at the weekend.

Had my Spaceback professionally detailed for winter (and to have some of the swirls taken out of the paint and B pillars). Also replaced the front wipers with Michelin Stealth wipers.
