  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

I wouldn't trust them with a paper bag! It says a lot when one of their salesmen won't buy a car from them or have it serviced there!

replaced the drivers side door control/ window switches. Used part from Silverlake, £25, works like new now.

Full service and brake fluid change also changed the air filter for a Pipercross panel filter and cleaned out the throttle body.

Changed the cambelt and water pump, replaced the front and rear Skoda badges and the VRs badge on the grille and a wash clay bar, polish and wax.

The car seems alot quicker now as well. Not sure if it is or if it is just me being hopefull but the wife could not keep up with me in her 2.6 Vectra GSi.

Started copying music up to the Columbus off an SD card. Cross fingers that it keeps copying when I take the key out of the ignition!

Removed the black bit off the grill ready for my new badge to go on. More to follow.....

.....Rain stopped play. :(

took my skoda to the Skoda Dealer to fix my Car radio Code which apparently got locked as I had to jump start my car. The Service guy could not find diagnose the problem and could not get the Code . the reason being there is some problem with Electrical wiring and showed me a list of potential wiring fault which was a big surprise as I had purchased this car only 3 months ago. So i need to think about how I am going to fix my Car radio :(

Activated instrument staging (needle sweep).

de-badged the "octavia" from the boot, G3'd the entire rear end and bonnet, was a nightmare but definitely worth it !!!!

Car still looks poorly up on the lift with no wheels. No front subframe, nuts and bolts everywhere. Dreading the bill when it's finished.

Flew into a pheasant, smashed windscreen to buggery, feathers, blood, guts, still.....little ****** wont be doing that again soon. Useless scroats cant fit a new one till Tuesday!

Washed it....again.
