What did you do to your Skoda today?

Fitted my new wheels so I can decide if they will become my winter/summer wheels. The decision is harder than I thought it would be

[snip]

They look alot smaller than the Pegasus wheels and having an ET of 47 and feeling a bit more planted on the road I think they will be staying as winter wheels (unless I lower the car which I think would solve the problem but wont happen)

I'd do it the other way round, you'll soon get bored of cleaning the multi spokes in the winter!

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Managed to wash the car. It's been a dry day. Tommorow rain. Oh well.

Thoses Zeniths are a PITA to keep clean lol.

I can't remember when if was last dry.you seen the news a months rain in 3 hours round here

Put some sound deadening in the roof lining behind the mic I previously installed due to people complaining about the noise. Sounded like I had my phone out the window. Will test it tomorrow on my drive in

Did an oil service and washed, dried and vacuumed it.

Typically started hosing it down in the middle of the service, stopped when I washed and vacuumed, and started again the minute I put the vacuum away. :@ Bloody weather!

Fitted 20mm hubcentric spacers to compliment the H&Rs.

The car's always looked a little narrow, so these have filled the arches really nice.

Had 4 up and no touching the arches whatsoever. Also, had the alignment checked and all is spot on. Rides very well and the steering is perfect, absolutely zero wobble, drift etc.

Nicked a bulb out of the rear cluster of the wifes car for my sister in

laws mini putting in a duff one to replace it.

Never deliberately fitted a defective bulb before

The SDI is going away part ex tomorrow and I'll never use it again

in the dark so I thought I'd save a quid or two.

Spent a good few hours taking the radio out and centre console apart in order replace parrot microphone as cable was pinched by the halfwhits that fitted it. Only to find front left speaker not working on re assembly. Had to take it all apart again. Problem due to dodgy sot lead. Wiggled the connectors and now working ok grrr. If you want something done properly, do it yourself or pay over the odds and have someone else make a complete hash of it.

Put a litre of oil in the engine. I think my external oil cooler is leaking somewhere. Rather a lot of puddles on the drive.....

Took my car to these guys http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/243781-trl-tuners-and-workshop/#entry2861935 as something not quite right, they are interested in a rolling road day as well . Then I replaced both my lower reflectors as they were starting to get muck in them
