What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

As it should look - excellent Chris.

Is the private plate a new addition too, or have I missed that?

Started changing my steering rack. Managed to damage one of the track rod ends trying to remove it. It's still in there, dammit.

This is how I get the trolley jack under my car :)

The wood things are ramps I made so I can get on my metal ramps!

Bought and fitted a pre-loved Halfords roofbox in genuine fake carbon finish in readiness for my hols.

God I'm so sad.

I should just lie down and die now. Put myself out of my misery.

I'll start looking at cardigans soon and remark on how practical they look...

Started painting my 312 calipers. :)

By end of play today I managed to get my interior finished........well, all except for the rear off side door trim, which is wrapped, but not stuck in place

Haters can hate, but I'm really pleased with it :sun:

Just have to remember how it goes back together now.

Fixed the aircon by changing the evaporator temp sensor.

Except it didn't fix it.

Boo.

After a weeks beach hols, spent 3 hrs this morning washing a Hoovering mine, damn sand gets everywhere!!

Then spent 30mins hoovering Lynsey's Est.

Washed it before the monsoon came. Come to think of it, I could have shampoo'd it and left it outside and let the monsoon do the rest.

Going to wash mine later too. Still sunny ATM :)

Nothing......

Washed, polished and sealed then hoovered and polished up the inside, looking sweet now. Had to do a panel at a time as the clouds were very black but it held off thank god!

Mine had some new shoes thanks to fleabay. Team Dynamics pro 1.2 in gloss black.

Hoovered it out and then went hunting for an underbonnet rattly noise thinking it was the EGR valve - got all set to clean it up and then decided to have one last look and feel round and found... a totallly undone bottom engine mount bolt flapping about.

Now all tightened up and the rattle seems to have gone so I've left the EGR alone...

Same here, except one of the kids decided to throw up on the way home, so some more intensive cleaning was required on the inside.

They are £20 with vat , so no biggie Shame we are going to Wales this year not Bushmills, I could have given you my old one

Unlucky - I'm off to Belfast on Tuesday and then up the Antrim coast to Portballintrea a few days later so may pay (nother) visit

New rack in and all bolted back together. Will test drive tomorrow, adjust height then get the alignment done.

Started to sort out some of the bigger stone chips on the sill above the stone chip paint (got a pre-FL? You'll have em too), so car is currently driving round with a couple of little (large stamp sized) patches of primer. 2nd coat tonight, followed by colour and clear coat. Take an age to fix a little thing like this.

Two new 225/50r17 Kumhos fitted.

lamin-x'd the front fogs

Cleaned out the Cornish sand from the boot and interior, and turned off the beeps that sound when you lock or unlock the car.

Check the oil, hasn't used any since service. Driving to Snowdon and back tomorrow the fishing in the night. Should be a good test of it

Watching an Octy vRS in a police chase on Traffic Cops (Watch)

I drove it to work, and picked up the pool car... A 59 plate Octy vRS petrol... :D
