  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

I do like that. Very nice. :)

Fitted the new DRL bulb holder and inline resistor fix lead - simple addition which prevents bulb errors when using LED bulbs, plus doesn't splice into lighting circuit.

Result - no more bulb errors.

Today I bought front and rear mudflaps for my Fabia vRS Tdi, then fitted them, as usual a little modification was required for the rear to fit but it wasn't a problem.

Job done and dusted within a very leisurely hour.

Fitted a tray with dividers that my Dad made to go under the 'false' floor in my Octavia. Now all the bits and pieces that littered my boot area are neatly stored under the boot floor. The tray is easily removable if/when I need to get at the spare wheel. It is slightly wedge shaped and follows the profile between the real and false boot floors, it has lugs at the sides that fit neatly into the recesses of the false floor side supports, so it can't slide backwards or forwards. Now I can load bikes, model helicopter etc at the weekends and not have to leave behind half the stuff I normally need to carry around with me

Empty most of my junk out of my car in prepartion for it's sale on Wed. Just gotta remove my sub and headunit now.

Tried to fit a new alarm horn but I could't find the old one... :( Anyone know where is the alarm horn on my Octavia 2 '05 plate? Thanks!

Sold my mk1 Vrs rep, gave the wife the proceeds of the sale & she bought a friggin pug 307

Divorce, tbh.

Under drivers side front wheel arch, need to get wheel off and take all the liner off...

It's above the wheel arch.

I've took everything off and I couldn't see it. I'll do it again tomorrow. Is your driving side on the right or on the left hand side? :p :D Thank you for your answer!

Did a lot of miles in it today, so gave it a good wash a few minutes ago, it'll probably rain tomorrow for spite.

Paid out over £500 in repairs (track rod, poly rib belt, brakes they didn't fit and A/C). :(

Headlight washer cover (no washers mind). A stick hit previous one as was only glued on. Primed and ready for a yellow spray that'll be completely different to the rest of he front end!!

I've took the alarm horn off and I am looking to buy a new one. I've tried to open it just to see what's inside but I think is impossible. I have to smash it to see the battery inside... :))

They have three locating pegs on the back but they are designed to be easily snapped off.

The back is flat ready to stick to the tailgate, once the pegs are gone, but it is 85mm rather than the standard mk1 80mm so it won't fit the front grille.

Had the DSG gearbox oil changed today, thanks Kelly at KDS.

Washed it and then filled it with Diesel.

Dropped the MK1 off at KDS to have a small dent done.

My OCD kicking in again, no rust on the car apart from the bonnet release lever, so got a new one,

Then polished and waxed where old one had been, then lost one of the star bolts inside engine, yes I can just reach that, scrape arm,

no I cant so had to take off engine tray to get it, so a 2 min job turned into half an hour, I wish I had a pit , or a inspection ramp !all done now, and only me will see :rofl:
