AMD one click.... Wow

Featured Replies

OK got myself a one click in the group buy (Which is still open incidentally) and had a quick play tonight.

Picture this

If the standard Fabia VRS is a walloping big lump hammer the one clicked Fabia vRS is a wrecking ball....

What else can I say than Wow !

You can tell the car is a bit more lively on tick over when you blip the throttle and the turbo spins up and makes a lovely whistling sound. Hit 2,000 rpm and all hell breaks loose and the ASR/ESP light flashes like a strobe in 2nd gear as the car scrabbles for grip.

Big lumps of torque make the speedo move like a rev counter :D

Well worth the money.

so you like it then mate

Oh yes, you ain't catching me now :D

My only concern (yes I know theres always one  ) is that with all this power is it hard to actually get it on the road. Because with my standard Furby with ESP off (which it always is) I battle with it to keep the power on the road in 2nd gear in the wet...

Just wanderd how you find it?

Cheers

Walkie :)

You just have to feed in the power rather than accelerating hard :D

Chris

I do, most of the time :) but i'd like to know how much of the power you can get through the wheels, do you find your self having to go really easy on the accelerator in some gears? i.e 2nd/3rd

No in 2nd though the ESP light does stay on but just back off the power and reapply to get around it. It is very driveable.

Thats the word i was thinking of! "driveable" :D:D Good to hear!

I have been very interested in the AMD one-click so once I have upgraded suspension, brakes, etc i shall be getting one :)

Cheers Walkie

Glad your all happy :)

Funny to think a year ago i had one of them, if it hadnt been for a very fortunate series of events which led me to getting the exhaust and turbo it would still be on there now.

Has it gone then? Thought you had... Re-map, Turbo and exhaust all together

I had the same One Click as Ivan etc. But with thier being hardware changes there was little point in having a switchable remap. So a custom map was written for my car and i gave my One Click back.

It's amazing how quickly you get used to the extra power though. Only had mine a couple of months but I was tempted to switch it back to standard the other day as I started wondering how much different to standard it actually was. Didn't bother in the end after I booted it off a roundabout whilst my mate was following me in his Clio 182 and he couldn't gain on me at all. Probably is working..... :)

Ivan

:surprised I thought you were going to wait till the weekend. ?

Temptation obviously got the better :hotdevil:

Well Its done now :) , There is NO going back is there ?

I found that feeding the power in to just over 2K rpm then the front doesnt lift, and then you can press the pedal, and its :Yikes:

I let 1 of the guys I work with have a drive ( he has a 150 Golf GTI ), only other time i have seen a smirk like that was when you came bakc form the trip in Davids car.

Would you do another RR day ?

Steve
