Uneven panel gaps on brand new VRS - pictures attached

That sounds ominous, what position have they to reconsider, surely they are not trying to say you have to accept the car?

Not at all.

I still would consider it if the parking sensor scruffiness and the paint problem on the wheel arch were fixed AND they gave me a good financial incentive. I would also still entertain options involving ordering a replacement, but they need to get their act together and stump up some cash for the dealer to enable that.

  • How have the garage taken your decision? Hope their customer service as remained as pleasant as it was when they hoped you would still accept the vehicle.

Cancelled. Deposit will be returned. Blue wins.

Thanks a lot to everyone for their input on this. It's a shame Skoda aren't as interested and helpful. They think cars that have flaking paint, badly fitted wings, panels not fully painted and badly painted and fitted parking sensors are OK. I don't.

I'm heading down to the channel tunnel now for a nice drive down to the Alps tomorrow. B)

Havent commented yet on this thread. But I can congratulate you on your decision. A new car has to be new and untouched, otherwise you could also have purchased a second hand one.

And the DPF-less TDI-PD will make much more fun, especially in the Alps!

Do you have wintertyres on? Here in Germany it is snowing again (not much, but enough to bother).

Have fun in the blue one!

Yeah winter tyres are on, chains in as well.

Well, than nothing can stop you emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Just beware of the speed limit of the tyres (mines are deliberatly VR ones because the chime at 210 annoyed me emoticon-0136-giggle.gif )

Here's 2 of the sensors in question - the 2nd picture really doesn't do justice to the gap on the bottom of it

At least you've saved a few extra quid in not having to get a new clay bar Nick as it certainly would have been needed!

You will probably need them ....... for Kent that is not the Alps! (had 10" of snow in Hawkinge with more to come!)

Good decision. It would have eaten away at me for ages. There are plenty of other better built ones around. You'd have regretted white too in a bit - they're far too common now. Blue is best.
