I give up

I give up

what waiting for your Superb to arrive?? ;) ;) :D;)

Picked up my Superb today, good points:

- The interior is better than I remember from the test drive

- The engine is really smooth

- Iphone 4 connected first time, no probs

Bad points:

- Maps are not latest version but dealer will get a copy

- Headlights don't work. At all. I only found out on the way home from work on the motorway when the street lamps ended...

Headlights should be an easy one... I believe there is a travel mode used during shipping... It's the one thing they forget to change during the pdi.

Well, I've Finally got a delivery date for mine : Monday 10th January. The dealer seems sure this will be correct as apparently the car is now in the UK after having been stuck at Emden since mid December.

I've asked about the sat nav and it will come with v6.1 (as that is what the dealer currently has to install on new cars) however he assures me that a v7 disc has been ordered and will be supplied as soon as it arrives.

So, just another 5 days to wait (fingers crossed!) and if that is correct then it will have taken 18 weeks to the day from order to delivery. The only car I've had which took longer to arrive was a Morgan plus 8!

I hope this Superb will have been worth the wait. I am looking forward to getting it.

Mark.

Hi all,

Superb Estate SE TDI CR 170 4x4 in Amethyst Purple with Black interior. Columbus Sat Nav upgrade with heated everything.

Ordered 27th October (when my boss finally got round to it!), build week 48, delivered by Rainworth to my office on 4th Jan.

Now having fun trying to figure out what all the buttons do and remembering why I decided on this car in the first place - It's BRILLIANT!

One satisfied customer.

Ordered race blue Hatch dsg, full leather,Sunroof, 18inch wheels on Jan 4th 2011 build week 6 delivery 26th Feb 2011 into Ireland.

Think you may be in the wrong sub forum? (Superb's are not available in race blue)

I've had the call......

Fleet company called to say the car is available for delivery on the 17th Jan. Unfortunately, i leave for Switzerland on the 15th in a car I've had to borrow because they couldn't get a firm delivery date from the dealer. So now i have to drive a borrowed Passat through France and Switzerland instead of my shiney new Superb.

I can't imagine any car this side of a supercar is worth this wait - i hope to be proved wrong!!

Ordered mid August btw

Car ordered August, last, from Leasing Company. I've been told it's delivered to their supplying dealer, a week ago, but they cannot get the car to me. To be honest, if I could cancel the deal I would. The car is sitting somewhere for a week and nobody seems too worked up about it.

A funny way to do business.

Seriously?! Mine was ordered 8th October and my current estimated delivery is 11th March.

There's NO logic behind Skoda's lead times.

Quite a few people have said the the 4x4's are made in germany alongside the Passatt which explains why the 4x4's are coming through far quicker than the rest of the Superb line.

Providing the 1.6CR isn't too pedestrian, I'll be ordering a Greenline II SE next week. hopefully it will be here in time for summer holidays!

Purple or Steel Grey.

Purple or Steel Grey.

Steve

Hi Steve,

I've got the Purple one (with cream leather interior)... looks very nice & hides the salt & dirt very well (my neighbours commented on the nice colour). A numbr of people on here have also commented that they like Steel Grey.

TBH I think with the darker SE interior with the Steel Grey would probably look better overall but I'm 100% sure you'll be happy with both. Dilemas Dilemas...

Purple or Steel Grey.

During my lengthy wait I was concerned that mu choice of Aqua Blue should of been Steel Grey, but on on overcast day (which has been most days since I collected the car some 3 weeks ago!) the Aqua Blue actually looks grey, it's only when the sunlight catches it that the blue really shines through and I am pleased with the choice I made

Well, the long tedious wait is over.

Car ordered 30th July, finally wrestled out of the dealer's grip 13th January - a deeply unimpressive 24 weeks.

However, car is rather nice and makes an excellent kiddie wagon. Amethyst Purple Elegance estate with a bunch of options, 170TDi manual engine. It's as smooth and relatively quiet as everyone says, and the headlights are the proverbial dog's whatnots.

Picked my 4x4 170 elegance estate up today, car blew my mind, but when driving into work this evening, thought the headlight were faulty. Travelling at 30mph ish, headlights were pointing on both pavements, great if your a pedestrian, not great if you wanted to see the road. Think they are gonna take a bit of getting used to. But what a fantastic car.

My car was due on 20th January. Arrived at the dealer on 5th but I couldn't get it delivered (due to my work committments) until 12th January, but still jut a little under the 16 weeeks I was quoted.

Had a look a at purple one today at Lightcliffe in Warrington.

Steel Grey it is!

I just hope I'm not overtaken by too may 2CVs and cyclists on my 1.6CR test drive on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!

Steve

So, I rattled a few cages and finally laid my hands on my new Combi CR170 4x4 ELEGANCE on Friday last.

What an incredible car! It's dripping with goodies and a fantastic piece of kit.

Car is MOCHA Brown (a bit darker than I anticipated), with only options being met paint, Rough Road package, towbar, rear tints, hill hold and Telstra wheels.

Ordered Aug 18th, delivered (to dealer) Jan 07th

Ordered mine on the 28.10.2010.

It arrived at the dealer 22.12.2010.

Got it from the dealer 11.01.2011.

Model: Superb Combi 170HP TDI DSG Elegance + extras.

What a fantastic car ....

I ordered mine on 8th October. So far the delivery dates i've been quoted are as follows...

31st December

14th January

20th January

28th January

10th Febraury

23rd February

4th March

So 2 months after ordering, the delivery date has been postponed by >2 months (so far). Skoda are bloody useless... i'm ALMOST regretting turning down the offer of a Mazda 6 TS2 that i was told by the leasing company was available in stock. Almost.

I managed a whole month without Skoda postponing!! Oh, but then they postponed. Now they reckon it'll be in stock 25TH APRIL 2011... for a car that was ordered 8TH OCTOBER 2010. That's more than 28 weeks, well over 6 months.

Outrageous. I can't tell you how annoyed i am. If I could cancel the order i would, but it's through my company car scheme & i'm not allowed.

This will by my first and last Skoda. However good the car is.... (if it ever gets built).

So 2 months after ordering, the delivery date has been postponed by >2 months (so far).

Now 3 and a half months after ordering, the delivery date has been postponed by 4 months (so far). Nice to see we're making progress. Shame it's in the wrong direction.

I've got a 170CR Elegance being delivered to me for a test drive later today. Quite looking forward to it as I've not owned a diesel before. The wait time means I'd probably end up going used or petrol though.

Superb estate 140 bhp 4x4/DSG ordered week 50-2010 - confirmed build week next week (week 4-2011)!!

Panoramic sunroof included

Deeply impressed, as I initially was told the wait could be as much as 5-6 months.

My dealer has confirmed that Superb's with 4x4 is beeing build in Germany, on the same productionline as the VW Passat 4Motion. Maybe they have extra capasity there these days, as the "new" Passat with 4Motion isn't in full production yet?

Anyhow - looking forward to picking up my new car in a few weeks B)
