VRS MK2 Facelift model which colour?

Featured Replies

Anthracite is a new colour for the Octavia so isn't bog standard. And on a vRS it looks great.

It may well be, anyway it still looks bog standard and boring.....only my impression.

I'm with Chris on this one... I even tried to change the colour of mine after I'd ordered the Race Blue as I noticed Anthracite had become an option (it wasn't when I placed my order)... Stealer said it couldn't be done even though I now know it could have been... Oh well, they just won't get my repeat business at car change time

But, everyone has their own tastes, I do like the yellow, but don't want to stand out quite that much :)

no, it looks understated, much better than an over the top, in your face colour like the yellow

OK ok, guys, I give in... B)

There's absolutely no better or worse, it's all a matter of taste. IMHO Parking a yellow vRS next to a grey vRS makes the grey one look very ordinary (as I noticed at my dealer last week on a rainy Fife afternoon).

I'd say for the OP they should go for anything but blue. Having already had blue, you want people to notice that you've got a nice new car :)

It's a bit of a shame as the race blue manages to tread the line between subtle and visual "pop" very well.

Went to look at a FL anthracite today and it was very nice indeed.

I think my top choices, no particular order Blue, White, Anthracite

The silver is also nice but too many silver cars to make it have impact on the vRS.

White seems to work on sportier cars, Blue is the classic colour, and grey is the new black :)

I bought a Blue one, though that Anthracite keeps me looking at it again and again.

Taxi's around here are all white (although would not be as quick as a vRS) but wouldn't want the task of cleaning it.

I've seen Waplord's black one in the flesh and it is stunning

So, Blue, Black, Anthracite, White all work for me.

I wasn't so keen on Red, but Yellow on the other hand...

Right still can't deicide on colour but need to by tomorrow, one final question do you still get floors mats in the VRS, I see it as an option in the Octavia brochure but find it strange there not in as standard, have been on my last two new buys.

Mine came with mats as standard....... I assume the dealer did not throw them in as a freebie!

White.... looks good when clean... but then saves £400.00.... which could buy at least 80 specialist eastern euopean hand car washes.

Don’t think I’ve left any of my cars in the hands of others for cleaning... sad but true

Right I'm swaying towards BLACK, my first VRS MK1 was black and before that I had a Honda Civic saloon Vtec160 in black and with the front end changes to the VRS MK2 I think the menacing look is back...

Race blue looked better on the pre-facelift.

Candy white magnifies any panel alignment and paint application problems ;)

Black looks good for about an hour after washing before it gets dusty. Also shows up swirls the worst.

Red - no

Which narrows it down to three...

Sprint yellow - full of win

Silver or Anthracite - reasonable

Hope that helps

I found this to be an interesting site which not only shows body colors but also wheels and upholstery.

Takes a little while to find your way around but there is a lot of good pics here.

Just picked my black one up and i think it looks great, but of course thats just my opinion, whichever you pick you'll have a great car.
