  i bet those 316i BMWs dont know whats hit em lol only joking pal

Loaded maps onto unit the night before last but never got round to doing the car.

Last night decided to go out for a spin in normal mode out into the wilderness and then park up and apply the new map to drive home.........................

Two words, SWEET JESUS !

Feels like the original map was just holding the car back !! As said before seems normal up to 2.5k revs then its HELLO !!!

Took me back to my subaru days :D

Very impressed, many thanks Ben

Feels very strong now mid revs, 5th feels like 4th used to. In the damp on an incline the wheels will spin in third from low revs as soon as it starts boosting if you plant the throttle! It never did that before, its hard to judge how much quicker it is but a standard octy vrs tfsi does 50-70mph in 5th in 6.1secs, mine off the not so accurate watch is about a second quicker, and for the same 50-70mph in 4th It's timing around the 4 second mark maybe even less (mk5 golf gti is 4.4), not tried 3rd gear yet - I can't count that quick!

Love it, cheers Ben

What to do next, thats the thing, will a full exhaust system be worth it, lowered suspension, big front brakes, front intercooler, its like a drug, where do you stop. :giggle:

Oh yes, same here

Wonder how Ben is doing with them all, maybe tomorrow will be our day!!?

Did everyone else use the [email protected] email to send their current map, or Ben's email direct?

sts email, and it's well worth the wait, 3rd gear is now making the traction control light flicker when trying to do the 50-70mph test, it is a quick car now, before it was brisk but somehow felt a little held back. This feels like a old school impreza for turbo punch but with lots more top end.

STS email.

When I phoned in my order Ben had 50 odd units in the queue.

He would have had to average nearly 10 maps a day including the weekend to be finished by today so I reckon we might need to be patient for a while longer yet emoticon-0105-wink.gif

Ben must be so busy, he'll be wondering what to do with himself when he gets this lot done!

Saying that, everyone with a new map will be heading down for a brakes upgrade! B)

what tyres are you running because you shouldnt be lighting them up in 3rd at 50mph. ive had bluefin stage 1, 2 and 2+, as well shark performance stage 1, 2 and 3 as well as driven many revo cars on the TFSI engine. none have had traction issues in the dry in 3rd unless the tyres were fecked.

the ony cars ive been in that managed to easily light the wheels up in 3rd were k04 cars with stage 2+ with apporx another 100Hp over your stage 1

Just a quick update for those who are waiting, we have written most of the files that came in over the weekend which will be now sent out tomorrow. It's been a gargantuan task to say the least, thanks for all your patience but this has been a massive group buy, and I think it's hard for people to understand just how much work goes into tuning a car.... let alone 70 cars!

They are michelins, but the Eco type, so a bit hard and the road was a little damp. The wheels are scrambling rather than spinning.

Woohoo. Cheers Ben.

Might find myself working from home tomorrow emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Good man Ben! Thanks for all the hard work you've put in for us all!

God knows where this is going to lead to once I've got the map installed

Well I'm not remapping the Octy, I'm going to apply the map to the VW Camper - I don't expect it to be as much WHEEEEE as other have reported, given that it's only got 88 Bhp just now I am hoping to be able to go uphill without causing traffic jams :giggle:
