Hi, I am very interested in this, so much so, I got swmbo's approval (new boots and coat later!!!) but a question on bhp increase....

Obviously I would inform the insurance, but they normally ask the % increase over std....

on your website you quote increase up to 255 bhp but you have the TSI as 211bhp as std, yet we know skoda still quote 197bhp....

also note that you say the Scirocco only goes up to 250? yet that is reportedly 210 (VW website) as std?

So is the increase to 255 or 240 ish?? as this will be 25% or 20% increase.....?

One of our cars made 263bhp at an independent rolling road but I would quote 250bhp. The 200PS and 211PS engines are identical apart from the software however the website is done manually and so you've found an inconsistency there which needs to be fixed!

You are entirely correct :thumbup:

The STS unit is sent out to you and the map can be applied by you remotely, instead of having to drive to us :)

I know it's a boring question, but what sort of MPG can I expect to see after this remap? At the moment I'm getting just over 37 to the gallon on my motorway commute.

if you drive both like a grandad, you will find you MPG goes up, mine did, and that was the same for stage 2 and 3 as well. However when you hit the loud pedal you will notice the fuel economy wil drop. using the extra power will come at a price.

i used to average about 300-330 miles around town when fully mapped. 350-380 on the motorway when on cruise at 70mph (give or take 10mph). driven hard this drops to about 270miles. I also managed a full tank in 10 laps of the nurburg ring, so about 123 miles :giggle:

She is pushing me to buy a motorhome so I am getting in my spends before she sees her dream one :rofl: but thats another story!

I was happy that the insurance amendment quote I got (6 months left) was only £45 inc £10 admin fee! That was a relief!
