Yes, you'll get one of our remaps, not one of theirs :) Tuning is a very personal thing.

If you'd like to ask other questions could you either drop me a PM or ask a question in a separate thread in our forum, so we can keep this thread about the group buy.

But just for the record.. 258 real bhp on stage 1 is not going to happen.

Sorry if this is a bit of a divvy question, but would this map be exactly the same as the map that I'd get if I came to you in person? Wasn't sure if you did extra "stuff" if you actually had the car there.

Oh one more thing....can anyone give me any idea about roughly how much insurance would increase by if I had the remap done? I realise this probably depends on a number of different factors (including who you're insured with), but it would be really useful to know roughly what to expect. I'm going to give my insurers a bell and ask them but I want to know what other people are paying first so I know whether I'm getting bongoed or not.

Dont bother if you are currently insured with Direct Line as they do not insure "Race Tuned/Modified" cars anymore, apparently. I had to get a quote from Adrian Flux and Sky insurance and they were both good quotes so give them a bell (listed on the forums).

My quote came to £410 (41yrs, no accidents, 9yrs no claims, fully comp, well hung)

Cheers Chris. I'm currently with More Than (who, bizarrely, were the cheapest quote I could get) so I'm guessing I'm not going to get a whole heap of love from them. I'll see what they quote me and then try Flux and Sky. Thanks for the info....

(and maybe I need to follow up on some of the many spam emails I'm getting! :giggle: )

Not a divvy question at all! There's no detriment to having the map done via the STS, you'll get the same tuning via the STS as you would if you came to see us in Mansfield :)

As for insurance, some people have been suggesting that it's free to upgrade with some of the specialist insurers, others have quoted £50 or so.

If you'd just like to have the remap done then you can pay on the day, however if you'd like to take advantage of the STS offer then we would need payment in advance as per the terms of the group buy.

On a side note, I think I have a PM from you which I promise to reply to today!
