The next monthly meet for the East Midlands lot!

Venue: The Snipe at Sutton, Alfreton Road, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire NG17 1JE (just off the A38 off M1 J28 heading towards Mansfield) - See here for a map

Date: Tuesday 30th November 2010

Time: 7:30pm

All welcome

Thanks to Ben at the October meet for curing my maxidot issues

And to Oggy for the quote of the night "they've taken some of the bone away and it's made me limp"

And to the Snipe for some superb sizzling chicken fajitas

We should be back this month after having a month off. :)

I'm gonna get there first and claim the car park for the "Democratic Republic of Lexus". :p

Do i need to do anything before this meet in relation to the Christmas dooo??? Or are we just considering the menu at the minute and booking it at this meet???

It's just to get rough numbers and menu decided Dave really - it's only fair to give the landlady some idea of what she needs to have in for us roughnecks :yes:

I'm a Definitely Maybe or perhaps even a Parklife

I've got a better than normal chance of making this,

unless they change my Tuesday shift;

to accomodate my as yet unknown Wednesday shift.

Remember kids, flexible rostering is the way forward.

I'm talking about this week ....

I know exactly what work I'm doing next week.

None, as I'm off for 2 weeks, hoorah!

However, I won't be at the meet,

unless you all want to drive to my local pub in Germany B)

I always thought it was like Yorkshire VAG Club,

who meet on the 4th Tuesday of the Month, rather than the last.

(Although they're obviously often the same day)

In that case does anyone fancy going to ....

Well it's looking like we'll not be able to get down to this one.... Woke up to a good couple of inches more snow today and the forecast is for more snow showers today and then just pretty much steady snow all day tomorrow. The mrs hasn't even got the vRS off the drive and road today never mind the IS and has gone to work on the bus. (There are only three or four households on the road who have working couples in them as the other 15-20 are all retired and just hibernate when it snows!!!). We'll see how it goes but it's more a case of whether or not we'll be able to get the car off our road what with no-one using their cars... As soon as we get to the main roads it'll probably be clear!!!

Well at least it's getting us ready for when we head off to Brussels on Thursday for a few days...... The hotel sent us the frecast for our stay and the day we get there the MAXIMUM temperature is supposed to be -6C!!!!! :rofl:

You're right there.... We're going on the train down to St Pancras then Eurostar to Brussels.... It's tough having to pay a WHOLE £75 each first class return on the Eurostar but someone's gotta do it..... And it's free down to London Village and back. :rofl: The pleasures of staff travel benefits. ;)

I won't be attending this one guys. the snow Is quite bad round my area. Even the busses aren't even running & much more heavy snow Is forecast tonight

You beat me to it Oz - the main roads were clear here when I came into work today, but intermittent heavy snow is still falling :S

I think to be sensible driving's going to be a 'need to' basis, so unless things change drastically, I'll be passing until the Christmas do on 21st December

Once you're off the estate roads it's not that bad so still hoping to be there. :thumbup:

Hope you're going to disguise the car John, so that people can see it coming..............unless you're in the Merc of course B)
