Yeti spotting - result!

Featured Replies

If we've time before moving back (to Baildon), I'll be renewing my CBT at the PTW training school based there.

If you see a "care in the community" type riding a green Vespa, do wave

I can't promise to wave back, as I'm usually hanging on with a death grip induced by overwhelming fear.

Not surprised.....

First time I taught somebody to ride a Vespa, he ignored my instruction and took off across the car park with the front wheel about 3' off the ground, running behind it, holding on to the handlebars.

Those were the days (that I'm glad I'm not doing anymore. Fed up with 16 year olds trying desperately to kill themselves.) the heat, the cold, the rain, flooding, snow and ice , and a boss from hell.

Ok...I admit a little off topic.....I was bored and not had any play time recently.....work work work.....I'll crawl back in my cave

I did see an 11 plate musky 4x4 elegance in Bromley about 4:50pm this evening though. It was about t turn south on to the A21 from Hayes.

Mea culpa. Mea maxima culpa :x

Guisely traffic lights this morning side by side with a lady driver in a very clean red yeti.

That was Helen :)

I took it through the handwash near the Stansfield Arms on Wednesday.

A very nice young lady on final leathering duties. They didn't need to wash it. Her involvement alone was worth £7.

OK. Naughty corner for me.

Welcome to my world.

I thought it might be

Got a wave from the vicar in his red one yesterday.

Yup. That was me - nice to get a wave back! There are a couple of grey ones around, and a couple black ones; occasionally I get a wave, more often not. A few days ago I followed another red one heading east out of Halifax - wasn't able to make eye contact.

We'll be off to Dumfries and Galloway next week, so I'll keep my eyes open.

Saw a black one going up Harrogate Rd around 18:50 tonight toward Rawdon.

Think I saw this one too - Traveling between Charlton & Blackheath at about 4:15 / 4:30, took a moment to realise it was a Yeti, and then totally suprised by the Lady driver waving at me!! - never thought to look at the reg number... - I was heading for Blackwall trying to get through and out of London before the usual chaos, but my Trafficmaster app told me the A12 was blocked at the Redbridge junction so I went along the A13 and up the A406 (north Circ) to get onto the M11 and head north, mind you there was crash at the bottom end (Nr Ilford) between some type of 'Drain Tanker' and a small car - the hold up was back to the M11 !! Good choice going the oposite way... (BTW I did wave back!!)

Bromley Kent not Bromley (by Bow)

Hehehe

Had to visit both B&Q and Homebase in Gloucester yesterday for gardening materials. Parked close to 12 plate Yetis in each. Grey one in B&Q and a silver Urban in Homebase.

Hehehe

Correct, I was heading North the Lady was heading South, she could have gone across Blackheath down the hill into Lewisham 2nd exit at the roundabout by the station and on to Bromly (Kent). I didn't go near Bromley (by Bow) I turned right at the exit from Blackwall (by going left & left etc) and then East along the A13. I may live in the (sunny) North West but I know both Richardson and Kray country quite well !

The Musky one I saw was coming from Hayes, so I doubt it was the same one. I think a man was driving it.

Mind - you can't always be sure of that these days!!

[cue corrosive coarse comment from bouncing canine correspondent, commonly cowering in the corner after being consigned there by crusty commentator coming from Cambrian community]

I resent the use of the term 'cowering'. Only when SWMBO is displeased do I cower!

Would "curled up" suit better - thus keeping the alliteration alive?

["curled up" - as in what your top lip did when you read "cowering"]

Bobhundlogo.jpeg I spotted Bobdog on the program of a rock festival in Norway, did anyone know he is a swedish indie band...
