Saw an orange on on the M62 near Leeds - a real marmite colour. (personally, disliked it).

Tangerine, a soon to become discontinued colour - a short life if ever.

Had yet to see a Yeti on the road until yesterday - at least one spotted on a transporter heading clockwise on the M25 near junction 6. Hope that counts as a formal on the road spot :dull:

Not nearly as short as the life of Anthracite - a mid grey between Steel grey and black. It was a launch colour and was discontinued in the same month it was launched (Sept 2009). So Tangerine won't be the most unique Yeti colour I suspect.

I don't think there are any RHD Yetis in Anthracite? Shame really, it is a nice colour.

Strangely there are a few about, seen 2 or 3 come up on the SUK used site, although not in some while now. I think the last one I on the site was registered in early 2010, so possible been sat in a dealers compound.

There's a few in Europe obviously as the colour was available from start of production in May until late September 2009.

Edit: ultraslim has listed their Monster as Anthracite on the colour and trim survey, which I believe was a very early dealer showroom car.

You can't see them anymore (the links are now dead) but TP had found TWO!

And mine in that thread I think is really Steel Grey? Or is that Anthracite too?

From the French Forum, defiantly a colour they should have kept

I agree. It is a lovely colour. But withdrawing it so quick must mean there were production issues or something. For example you will for some time now not get any Fords in red or black due to the Japanese earthquake:

So maybe Anthracite had the same supplier fate for whatever reason?

That's a great colour, looks really classy. What a shame it's gone.

... not that I wish to be drawn away from my stunning, soon to be rare, Tangerine Yeti! :giggle:;)

More anthracite from France

Actually I like the tangerine ... to look at ... but not sure I could actually live with it. Perhaps I'm just not brave enough

According to the forum colour survey there is just one owner that's registered the Anthracite but seven with Tangerine.

Muscovado is still way out in front with 66 votes. Very surprised how low the Brilliant Silver is registering only 20 votes. Personally I would have bet on that one being the most popular which just goes to show, what do I know.

Mmmmm ... that observation about Muscovado being the most popular colour is interesting. I'm sure I've seen, on one thread on this forum that most Yeti drivers are of 'more mature' years. I've also seen a cheeky thread suggesting Muscovado is an 'old mans' colour. I think this is what the philosopher Karl Popper called 'deductive reasoning' :D

My first choice was Muscovado, not sure where that leaves me but SWMBO did not like it, looked too much like the colour of mud ((female logic?). Her choice was Aqua Blue and the rest as they say is history :o

Anybody on here in Tesco's (superstore) at Halifax today? Spotted a dark blue TSI Yeti, with black and white (cowhide looking effect) front seat covers - YF60 xxx? I was treating Betty to a spruce up by the guys who offer a really good handwash from a shipping container in Tesco's car park.

At Last!

Finally caught a quick glimps of a dark blue (Pacific?) one heading towards St. Albans from the Hatfield direction around 3pm. That's the first on road sighting since ours arrived 3 months ago. Flashed and waved but no response noticed, ah well...

Anthracite looks nice! My parents ordered a Yeti 4x4 1.8TFSI Elegance on 26th March in Storm Blue, only to be told it'd be a different Blue, now no decent blues available so they've gone for Steel Grey.

Just spotted a couple of Monsters on the A166; the first west of Stamford Bridge being a muscavado 'S' on a 60 plate and the other one in black on a private number at the bottom of Garrowby Hill, unsure of trim level though.

Must be Yeti week round here; not only is my own Monster built but I spot my third one on the road this morning. Followed out of Tesco car park in Driffield by a very nice Silver Elegance on a 10 plate with DRL's switched on. despite not normally being a fan of silver I do think the Monster wears this colour very well and I'm surprised by it's lower order position in the survey :wonder:

saw 2 yesterday.

a silver on in tesco car park in berkhamstead and a red one later in the day in grove hill hemel.

both parked up waiting patiently for their smiling owners to return.

I was in the eastern Mediterranean last week. Relevance? LOTS of RHD Yetis in both Malta and Cyprus. (I forgot to check delivery times.)

Just got back from a weekend in Norfolk. Travelled via M62, A1, A17 and A148 to Cley. Overall mpg 49.0 ... more or less matching my France trip recently. On the A17 was stuck at about 50mph for quite a long way behind a convoy of trucks and caravans. Irritating, but maxidot slowly crept up to read 57.6mpg for the stretch between Newark and Kings Lynn.

Anyway, the real point of this post is that I spotted Yetis all over the place this weekend!

Shortly after joining the A17 from the A1, heading east with SWMBO driving, I spotted a mirror image - another Corrida red car - heading towards us. I was shouting "there's another Yeti", and pointing like a lunatic ... and as we approached I saw the guy in the other car in a similar state of agitation (with his wife probably saying, just like mine, "Yes dear, there there, calm down").

In Cley saw a silver car (WU59 xxx) parked for a few days outside what I know to be a holiday cottage (is that a west country reg plate?). Saw a silver (AO60 xxx) and a steel grey (AU60 xxx) near Felbrigg Hall, one on Sunday and one today (and I think those are Norfolk reg numbers). A blue one in the car park of the Saracen's Head at Wolterton Sunday lunchtime (used to be a good place for a meal before it changed hands a year ago) ... and then when we got back to West Yorks this evening (about 8.30) saw a silver or grey (difficult to tell in the fading light) heading west on the A646 near Luddenden Foot.
