the Saracen's Head at Wolterton Sunday lunchtime (used to be a good place for a meal before it changed hands a year ago) ...

Now that was a pub of real splendour, Robert Dawson-smith was magnificent!

Indeed he was (and is)! Robert, Daphne and Rachel Dawson-Smith are friends of ours. Before our exile to Yorkshire (brought about by my job) we lived less than a mile from the Sarries - it was our 'local'. We return to Norfolk as often as possible and meet up with Robert and co for a mardle on most visits. Indeed, I had the pleasure of cooking for them last year when they were our guests for dinner at a cottage we rented.

Revisited the Sarries under it's new ownership once last year for a long weekend. They have made some improvements, updating the bathrooms and putting bigger and more comfortable beds in, but the unique Sarries welcome and atmosphere is no more, and the food has gone seriously downhill.

Spotted a white Yeti parked on Colinton Road in Edinburgh this morning, opposite Napier University's Craiglockhart campus. Anyone on here?

Not me...it was parked on my drive in South Londonemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Well I have just spent 8 days in the UK in the South Wales area and only saw one Yeti (Black one, 4pm Sunday Llantrisant to Beddau just by Brynteg) they are very rare indeed.

Just had a nice chat with a gent in a dark blue 60 reg 1.2 who was waiting at my level crossing. He says he is very pleased with it.

Muscovado one just on the outskirts of Llanidloes this afternoon, in a queue of traffic, heading south.

Numbers are definitely increasing; saw two today, both Corrida Red like Betty. This morning in Bradford, in the distance, turning off Thornton Road towards Allerton. This evening a 59 plate, he was coming up from Hebden Bridge to Pecket Well on the A6033 as I was heading downhill ... flashes, waves and smiles exchanged.

Advance warning.

Off tomorrow for a long weekend in Wiltshire with the caravan.

So, A470 and A something to Newport, then M4 to Chippenham and then south to Salisbury.

Give us a flash and a wave.

Four in two days.

A very nice owner, who said how pleased he was with his Yeti, in Lidl Car park, Porthmadog.

Two on the road between Porthmadog and Pwllheli

A nice dark green 170 (possibly ex London) in the Asda CP, Pwllheli

Yet(i) another red one (60reg) on the A646 between Hebden Bridge and Todmorden; flashed and waved as I passed in the opposite direction, but no response from the glum faced oldish woman driving it. How can you not be smiling in the driver's seat of a Yeti?

Spotted a Tangerine 11 Plate in the Village Hall Carpark at Kinnerley, just south of Oswestry on Saturday 16th April.

Definately a Marmite colour, not sure if I love or hate.

Just back from a trip to La Rochelle from East London, spotted only one at the channel tunnel departure on the way out, French reg, parked next door to it, they did not understand the smiles from a car full of the "English". Great trip 46 mpg overall, mainly 80 m/h moterway driving 10-12 hour driving not to much effort, very comfortable driving.

Spotted 2 lately, the first a silver yeti heading on the M4 past Pencoed on Friday at about 5 ish in the evening then a Muscovado one with a roofbox on the M4 between Newport and Cardiff this morning about 8.50.

Holiday traffic? :giggle:

Holiday traffic? :giggle:

Looked like only one person on board so he must have had a load of luggage unless his weekly shop is for the whole street.

Steel grey TDI Elegance 4x4; Morrison's car park, Bradford (the big one just off Thornton Road). YD60 xxx . Disabled badges and parked in a disabled bay. Interestingly had cross bars fitted to the roof rails. They had Yeti labels on the side, so presumably standard Yeti accessory.

Home after a nice couple of days on the edge of the New Forest. Yeti count = 3

First going through Melksham, saw a Muscavado with what I thought was a white roof(??)

Second another Musci at a house near Romsey

Third a blue one going east bound on the M4 near Bath today.

Got cornered in a pub Saturday night by a man who had seen mine in the car park and when I went out to collect something ran out to talk to me. Cost him a pint of Wadworths 6X!!

Ooh; I haven't had a proper pint of Wadworths 6X for years. :'(

It seems we are no longer the only Yeti in the village.

A brown metallic one keeps going past our house and going up the dead-end housing turning...

Obviously had spotted yours and was jealous!

Saw my first on the road Yeti today, the Mochca ? colour, 2 hours later saw a midnight Blue one.

The owner said she ordered last Sept. and received it the end of March.

YE60 XXX, steel grey. I parked next to it in the car park at Hebden Bridge Co-op about 8.30 this morning. Tried to guess who owned it as I walked around the shop (quite a small store, and at that hour only about half a dozen customers) but no other anorak in sight. When I came back to Betty it was gone.

I take it all back; saw her again today at more or less the same spot, and she grinned and waved like a fool (just like me in fact) :giggle:

I guess so. :D

It's a new addition and we've had ours nearly 7 months already.
