A big Think You to Chris for organising it. and Thank you to Kermit for that passenger ride. :D

Anybody else who had a ride in a mk2 Fabia that is REALLY impressed?

sorry guys i was there today i was unable to drive after my recent accident but i spoke to tim and his main chef never turned in, he was well behind and apologised and said if there was another trip there he would look after you all.

i was down stairs sat on a stool at the bar.

cant say i spoke to anyone but i could not get up the stairs lol, have to say i took a limp round the car park and the black vrs estate was the best looking car i saw!!! some carcking seats in it too!!!

some nice motors there and where can i get the new vrs rs badge from??

really nice day and thanks to Chris for arranging the meet, Just finished pudding, went outside and you'd all gone.......bu99er

Big thanks to Simbo for sorting my car out and Brimma I've found some blue paint on e-bay for you, it's for your wheels emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Again Mr & Mrs Goldfinger thank you all for a really enjoyable day and Harry Get your car hovered out, it's a tip, but a FAST TIP..............................emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

and the real treat today was Dave the Dog.......Top Dog emoticon-0144-nod.gif

It made a change for me to get out!

'Twas nice to see some old faces, and Dave certainly enjoyed himself ( apologies to Len for leaving dog prints all over his clean car....)

Perhaps the food situation will improve ( it can hardly worsen can it? never mind )

I might turn up to another meet this year....

Thanks for making it a good meet everyone.

Thanks Simbo for the 2/3 VCDS

Apologies everyone for the long wait. I did my best

Webbo thanks for telling the landlord how many of us were eating

BUT

At no point, when I had complained 5 times, did he say there was a chef missing

He said it was because someone in our group had requested that we eat after 2 o clock!! B*LL**KS!!

just got back, good day, nice to see all the old duffers, and some new faces, Dave the dog was great ;)

and thanks for harry for the ride in big power octy :)

ok mmate i told him 21 originally but know some one rang up saying there was 29, 31 ate in the end and he apologised to me. however if he did not apologise to you then i can see why you are upset

Dave, it was a pleasure. Shame I didn't let it fully warm up before caning it, which I think made it misfire :(

I absolutely love your car. I was so impressed with how fast it was, and that gearbox is something else!

FFS Graham, it was not all over the car, it was in it :)

Kenny (the new boy on the block) got on well with Dave and they had a good run around in the car park..... Although Dave was more interrested in his stick :)

Looking forward to the next meet :)

A good meet all round I think. Always good to put faces to names.

Shame about the food, but these things happen I guess.

was a good meet, just a shame i had to leave early to get back to work, hopefully next meet will be my day off :p :p

I will be looking for another pub in the York area for next time.

Sadly..It wont be the Stone Trough..It had potential as a regular meet too.

Big Car Park, nice location, even good beer..Shame

A shot in the foot from the happless management.

We live n learn!!

Dan you let the side down mate :p

What went wrong with the food? I thought the pub was a fish and chip specialist

Thanks, it really is suprising isn't it? seemless power and NO drama... some may say its a bit "clinical" (which alot of the motoring hacks do) but as a point to point tool.it really can keep up with more expensive, and more powerful alternatives!

like I have said, I may not even map this car! :o its that quick.

i liked your car, the nicest mark I vRS there I think ;) (on asthetics, don't know how it drives!)

Yeh it's certainly a very quick car and I'd be happy with how it drives myself. Saying that though, if a DSG map came available I'd consider that to maybe stop it up/down shifting when you don't want it to like you showed me.

yes, its the only thing that bugs me, in tiptronic, I want it to do what I say! lol.... some of the tuners are getting DSG maps available though I believe

Great to meet up with everyone, I am always supprised on what alovely bunch of guys Brisky folk are, added new freinds on, I was itching to go in and cook, 2 hours is disgracefull for that SIMPLE menu for 3 chefs! Whish I could run it ( I am a licencee also)! Thanks for taking me for a spin Harry

Cheers to everyone for today.

And there was me thinking you would have all gone home after the food by the time I got there

Had a very eventful journey home

My columbus knew about the traffic jam before we even got to it and re-directed me (didnt even know it did that. Do you have to subscribe to some service for that?).

Then after taking me on every dirt track between the place we were at and Selby (good job you werent following me Dave ). To top it off my EML light came on about 60+ miles from home so I had to take it really S L O W. Took about 2 hours to get home

Till the next one

P.S. Does Dave the dog Ever get tired????

P.P.S.Loking forward to a spin out next time Harry. Sorry I wasnt up to it today

ok chris, i have spoke to him and he has told me that if we arrange another meeting there he will gladly put on a free buffet for the club, he said he was real sorry, he had been let down and the pub was busy due to it been a nice day, i dont know which girls were off with you but tim is the boss and he was the one that should be talking to you, i can see why you guys are upset after the wait, i have told tim to look on the site today so if you could maybe give him a ring and speak to him , let him know the problems and im sure he will try iron them out.

Thanks Webbo

I can accept it was busy but a couple of points

1. When I asked if the food would be coming soon after 1 hour.I was told by a waitress, that it was coming soon..It did not

2. When I actually went to the serving hatch of the kitchen and told the landlord that the wait was unacceptable, he told me someone in our party had requested we eat after 2.00 pm....This was not true at all

3. Why were we not told that there was a problem?

4. There were complaints about the toilets being dirty too.

All in all, poor service, verging on outrageous.

Thanks for the offer of a free buffet, sadly we wont be taking up the offer.

We will be going elswhere..Shame because there is potential here..car park is excellent, as is the scenery.

Final point..My parents and Aunt and Uncle, who both live in Foston, have stopped going already

Perhaps its not just us that poor service is affecting.

However..Thankyou for accomodating us Tim (Landlord)...

At least the car park was adequate for our needs.
