Insurance on the Octavia is £400 and £600 on the Fabia

33 and this is my first diesel.

21, all mods + points declared, £960.

23 going 24

30 years old. First skoda and wont be my last. :p

Errr.... 43. Had the Fab 2 1/2 weeks - car number 28. Not the first diesel, but certainly the quickest mid-range.

I'm 34 and have owned my Mk1 silver vRS for about 6 months. Great little car.

I have been trying to convince my younger brother (20) to get one as for a fairly nippy car the insurance group is pretty low.

Seems as though there's a fair few young'uns who have had the same idea!

Im 27 and the girlfriend is 22 my insurance is a just under a £1000 that's only cause the gf ain't long passed her test

Had the vrs for almost 3 years now, will be keeping it as its nippy and economical and so I intend to keep it for another 5 years..

I'm 28 now - had red VRS for 2 years.

Mrs is 22 and had hers for 6 months.

Her insurance was MEGA money so we went down the multicar route and works out about £500 each.

good luck to those starting out as insurance is just silly money on anything fun!
