Mr Sparrow was not amused and got quite intense 😂  I did wonder if he might come down for a scuffle, but I seem to have gotten away with it.

I took this recently one evening. 10x zoom on my Samsung phone and then a further digital zoom (totalling around 20x zoom I would estimate), so that's the excuses out of the way. Impressive catch though (the bird, not the photo)

New camera along with a macro lens turned up this afternoon. Took me a while to sort the settings out enough to have a go at a shot. First efforts below.

First Ducklings we've seen this year.......

 

 

 

 

 

We were going to go to Leonardslee over near Horsham today, but the weather was foul when we got up ☂️ And once it stopped raining it was damp, cold and breezy.  So we went to Manor Gardens in Bexhill as we'd never been before (well I had, but it was for a Speed Awareness Course ) and it was a lot closer.  Anyway, these gardens are a lovely tranquil little oasis,  probably less than two acres, but it was smashing, and I think give it a couple of weeks and the roses and rhododendrons will be out in full bloom 😎:

Had another quick bash with the new camera. Only got 100mm glass with me so have to make do with a longish focal length for everything including landscapes which aren’t my strong point.
