Order Times, Build Times, Delays, The Skoda Black Hole Ordering System

Went into my dealers today to touch base with my order and see if they could say why skoda are do poor! The chap said my vrs was schedule 10 with production shown as commencing week 25. He said schedule 10s were pretty solid and there was no reason why it would change. I thought schedule 10 was a guesstimate but he seemed very sure. He added mine would be one of the first to arrive and that I was lucky due to the number of options I have. Time will tell, so watch this space in 2 weeks.

oh, and if anyone wants to jump the queue lookers stockport have a green hatch with black roof/wheels and rps. They also have a silver monte which looks mint! If it wasnt for the dsg and engine id have it!

Spoke to my dealer late Friday afternoon and apparently mine's due to be built in the next couple of weeks and should be with them by the end of June. They also told me it was probably too late to change the colour. I'd sent them an email a week earlier but it looks like that got lost on the internet somewhere. They also failed to action my request some time ago to cancel the black alloy wheel option but did offer to try and swap them locally if I really don't like them in the flesh.

So today I thought I'd ring Skoda UK. The guy was sympathetic and put me on hold briefly to call someone to ask. He didn't comfirm my build week either but told me it was too late. Not sure why he asked if that was going to be ok if it truly was too late.

Obviously a little gutted to not be able to switch to Rallye Green but I guess I should be happy it's due soonish.

Status 30 is the only CONFIRMED date.. that means the factory have said 'This car WILL be produced on week <x>', any other status code 10 or 20 means the build week can move about as I have experienced... so far mines been pushed back by 4 weeks and already waited 8 weeks so far... if things go well my car will start to be built 12 weeks after I ordered (which I was given as the delivery time but meh)

I've had enough - called Customer Services yesterday, only to find out my car has been pushed out 4 months!

i feel your pain

Hi all, another annoyed purchaser here, first time dealing with Skoda after a recommendation from a friend and his Octavia VRS, this took 18 weeks to arrive last year but having visited my local dealer and being told of a 12 week lead time I ordered my Fabia VRS in Race Blue on March 12th. Up until about 3 weeks ago no build date, then week 25 which was recently removed. Spoke to Farmers skoda again last week and it had moved back to week 47 but already brought forward to week 40, this at the moment suggests a 7 month wait !!!Not Happy !! Skoda uk while very friendly proceeded to tell me they were a victim of their own success and prepare myself for an extended wait lol !!!

I ordered mine on 19th March and was told I should have it for last week in May or first week in June....was then told build week 25. On Monday when i spoke to dealer they said it has been pushed back to week 47!

I'm not sure whats worse, the car being pushed back to week 47 or the earache off the wife! lol

This is worrying - ordered 14th March (vRS) - and showing on the 6th June as Week 25 build. Maybe mine will disappear too? Or will it be a roll of the dice... :(

Ordered my vrs 10th april but i did request that delivery was not until october 1st to tie in with my current vehicle going back. Have been told today that it is now week 44 which is the beginning of november.

It will definately be 2012 model with the black pack and a few other revisions.

Hopefully it won't get pushed back any further than that!

candy white vrs, black wheels, climate, elec rear windows, armrest, storage boxes, glasses case and supaguard..........can't wait!!

Quick update/moan. As mentioned before, I ordered my vRS on 10th Feb, I now finally have a provisional build week, it has been set back again to week 47 now. YEAH THATS RIGHT, A 10 MONTH WAIT! WTF IS GOING ON??? Good job im not desperate for a car. It better be worth it.

lol Some of you guys are having some serious waits! I cannot understand it, ordered my vRS Estate end of March and should pick it up Friday - an 11 week wait to the day from order to delivery.

Ordered my Monte at end of March, dealer rang me today saying no build date on the system :(

Order is for a TSI 105, Reverse Parking Sensors, ESP and Maxidot

God help me then, I ordered start of april with a longer list of op extras than that, been told (my 3rd date now) Week 26 but I can see that being pushed back as well. I was prepared for a wait but the lack of communication is seriously taking the shine off a new car as it seems like a never ending wait.. Skoda UK have no idea really whats going on and just keep giving random dates until the factory get in contact and say 'Yup we can build it now'

I've got a feeling i've got some bad news coming my way from the dealers today. Every Friday since i ordered the car (red vrs on 22/3) i have rang him for an update, and every Friday without fail he has given me a date, albeit a provisional one. But today i've rang twice, first time at 11.30am in which i was told he was with a customer and he'll ring me back. Being patient i waited until 14.30 then rang him back again. He apologised saying he was with custmomers again and that he hasnt looked at the dates yet. I think he's stalling because, as far as i'm aware, he only has to look on his desk as he's told me in the past that he has a print out every Friday morning of all his orders. If he comes back with a provisional week of 40 or above i will be looking into cancelling!

Beginner here looking for a couple of answers.

My vrs is a confirmed build week 24 which is nextweek by my workings. When is it likely to be delivered to the dealer?

Will it have the black pack? I was told by Skoda all cars from build week 22 will have but have seen posts on here saying otherwise.

Ordered:

Fabia vrs hatch

Candy White

Black roof

Black wheels

Sat nav

Bluetooth

Cruise

Arm rest

Hi all

I admit defeat, I can' be a***ed with this so I've just cancelled my order

I wrote to the dealership to express my feelings, the salesman phoned back and said "I'd cancel it if I were you, i doubt if you'd see it before November"

So, I'll invest a few £ in a new set of brakes for the current car and rethink ...

Ricko

i might end up joining you Ricko, nothing wrong with my mk1

no phone call again from them, so much for a call every friday. i havent actually had a second call yet since the end of march, only call ive had was to say id get one each week :S

ive no issues with waiting so long as we are all in the same queue, me thinks Slowda are just taking the pish

We're all in the same queue... just some people are getting to the front quicker than others even if they placed their orders later on. Seems once your car gets pushed back a few times it goes into 'the black hole' and your screwed.

Think im in the same boat as all of the two above really, ever since i ordered 23rd march(white vrs, black wheels, sat nav, phone + bluetooth prep)havent even had a build week and its nearly 3 months now so aint got a clue wat to do now as my car is now due a service and new cambelt in 5k so stuck really. Think its shocking tbh this service and i think ill be going in next week for a compromise or to cancel as i cant afford to wait that long. Also whats funny is my dealer rang me at 1030 stating he couldnt access the system saying it was giving him an error  and said he'll ring me back and now its 20 past eight and still no word.

well mine is supposed to be week 34 after jan 15 order

if i am not driving it in september emoticon-0107-sweating.gifemoticon-0107-sweating.gifemoticon-0107-sweating.gif

it will be cancelled on the 1st octoberemoticon-0119-puke.gif

I am continuing to pursue with Skoda Customer Services - I've ordered a car which I want, and won't put up with ridiculous delivery times. The fact that after I ordered my car I recommended to my father, and that he ordered the exact same model a month later, makes me all the more angry - two identical cars stuck in the same black hole.

My Tax is due up in 2 months as is my insurance and the cars servicing... so I'm hoping to hell I get my car before then!!

I've been advised by my dealer that my Week 19 car has been stuck at Grimsby docks since the 18th of May due to a huge backlog of cars awaiting delivery?

I just wondered if anyone else has suffered this unwelcome news? According to my dealer thousands of cars are stuck there right now.

The other reason I want the car, is that I am trading in my existing car... if I cancelled, I won't get the same valuation on it with someone else, as it's devalued while waiting for the Skoda...

Same + I cant get the same type of car for the money

Got you by the b@lls aint they
