I was told that the £150 compensation is not a cheque but vouchers which can be spent only at the Skoda Dealer and Marks and Spencer.

Not sure, but "cheque" is what he said in his email. ie I have it in writing

Appears the '12' week thing is very standard.

My car was due to be built next week (week 23) but has been pushed back to week 26. I hope it doesnt go any further than that.. yes I know they have a lot of orders but there's no point receiving all the orders if everyone cancels due to stupid delays for a car. People who have been quoted 9 months to get a car.. thats outrageous and I honestly think Skoda need to sit down and think about how much they are damaging the brand just to get a few orders (with not a lot of commision since most of these were VAT Free)

Ordered 4.3.11 and given estimate of 16 weeks.

28.3 given a provisional build week of week 19 (09/05/11).

Update. Car has now been built and in a port in Germany (?) ready to be shipped over. Expected collection middle of June.

Finally received a reply from SUK Customer Relations Manager to my e-mail sent over a week ago. Didn't answer any of the questions but did tell me that my vRS is "currently scheduled for a week 26 build". Note the word currently!

I guess that I might actually see it by the end of July, who knows? That would be a 22 week wait for a car that I was positively assured would not take more that 16 weeks. I hope it will be worth the wait!

Ordered my Fabia VRS on the 1st April and it arrived at the dealers today.

8 weeks and 6 days from order to dealer which is fantastic for me but I do feel prity bad for you guys who ordered before me and still have no build date.

I’m not the only one if you look at the threads for build week 20 and 21 every one there seems to have ordered around the end of March beginning of April.

I think you should be on to your dealers and Skoda UK to explain why.

I'm getting sick of this carry on, ordered a VRS on 7th March, initially told 10-12 week delivery, that was then put back to week 24 build, that was then put back to week 34 build date, now that's been put back again to an unconfirmed week 36, basically this means I won't be getting delivery until October. Not happy - watch this space!

snap matey :( ive email slowda asking how orders can vary so much, how are they added to the build list, like do they only make red cars one week or something daft

im also liking the ds3 more and more and im tempted to test drive one of those and checkout their waiting list. a wait is one thing but not when its not equal

I like the DS3, but to be fair the hot hatch Racing model is £23K silly money.

My Wife has a DS3 - it's a very nice car but is nowhere near as practical as the Fabia. Granted hers is a DStyle - it's a 1.6 120hp, even the DSport is only a 1.6 150hp and costs about £16K... Bit more expensive, less practical and slower? Honestly - wait for the vRS - you'll thank me.

Came back from holiday last weekend to discover change to week 44!

Changed again yesterday to week 46! (14 November) Still unconfirmed!

Allowing for delivery and Xmas/New Year holiday it looks as though it will be 2012 when I get it!

I ordered on the 8th March (my birthday was the 7th and I went and got pi**ed instead) and I pick mine up next week - it's in the country and due to be at the dealers on Monday.

spoke to the dealer this morning and still no build date but he thinks it will come with the black pack as he says its looking like its gonna be built after week 22.

Is that on status 20 (unconfirmed, date could change) or status 30 (factory have said the car will defo be built that week)

Week 26 is first week in July so thet'll be status 20 - ie unconfirmed build date. It'll change to status 30 the week before, so week 25 your car will be confirmed as being built week 26.

Just been looking on the Ford Fiesta forums. Seems when cars are ordered there, they are built approx 3 weeks after order date! Pull the finger out slowda!

had my car serviced today and asked, said the same, but said they also had one on order, so they would have 2, then they would be able to sell the otehr straight away...

If anyone interested try Robert Eardley Stoke on Trent ordered my Monte in March and picked it up end of May, they have a new ,blue Fabia VRS Estate with black wheels for sale in the in the showroom.
