Richard's 09 mkI VRS SE. (and others)

Featured Replies

From what I understand, it's everything from a GTR albeit with shortened prop shafts, dropped into a custom Juke-ish shell.

Richard I guess you've seen this video before?

http://m.jalopnik.com/5870777/how-much-faster-is-the-new-nissan-gt+r

Side by side 400m dash in an '09, '10 and '11 GT-R.

Yes, but only a few days ago.

While the newer model (and MY11) has better launch control you can understand why so many older GT-Rs get modified.

They are capable of so much more. Less than £1k takes you to the power output of the latest version.

Up 80 bhp for less than 2% of the car cost new!

Just read the whole thread, the spec on the fabia is nay on perfect and looks perfect in my eyes , bet shes fun to drive!

... and then the gtr oh my!

Let me know if you have any track days booked up silverstone as im only down the road from there

Thanks guys. :)

Rich, I actually had a day booked there for the 17th December (2011), but had to cancel as I damaged the front splitter on the GT-R the week before.

My fault. Careless with a kerb in a car park.

The replacement took two weeks to arrive (and cost over £600!)

I was gutted. :(

Daam! expensive cars are expensive to maintain! £600 would buy quite a few parts for the Fabia!

Planning on booking another track day soon? You have 2 awesome weapons to choose from!

We bit more to it than an lcr splitter I'd hope then :D

It would literally be like catching a kerb and ripping off your FMIC :giggle:

Just read your thread Richard, fantastic stuff. Credit to both cars.

Very nice  I'd like to get some rolling shots of my car sometime as well

Looking great.

And yes, a big emoticon-0148-yes.gif for rolling shots emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Looks amazing, even better on the move, have you got extra rubbing strips ( black) on top of your rubbing strips :wonder:

No, on the Fabia mkI there is a panel crease just above the rubbing strip on the doors.

I can see what you mean though. :)

Paintwork looks A1! Very reflective.

Looks good in action and also a slight glimpse of BossFox himself!!!

Come on the "Briskoda How Fast?" day and you can see more of me. :giggle:

Seriously, would be good to get a range of cars and an oppertunity to see how they go on an open track while timed! B)

Love it, what sort of cars does it keep up with?

Dare i say a 335d?

Comfortably I would imagine. He ate a Focus RS on the 1/4 mile...

I would imagine they are fairly similar.

335 is 0-60 in 5.7, about the same. Benefit of RWD.

The BMW takes 13.6 seconds to hit 100mph according to autoexpress, my VRS finished the quarter mile in 13.6 seconds doing 104.something mph.

It'd be close IMO if the BMW driver is switched on.

The 335 is pretty quick.

Not driven the 335d but the on-paper stats for it look good. Pity it's an auto-only really. And a 'proper' torque-converter auto box at that.

Think I'd rather have a mapped, manual 330d....

I'd rather have a nissan with paddle shifters. ;)
