PLEAAAASSSSEEE READ THIS AND HELP!

That will be the one I would be looking at!, for the time you have the car any problems that arise from this, they that is the dealers will honour any repair end of!!, and free service plus replacing all four tyre's, and shocks

The only thing is any repair could involve hospital bills! Very poor customer service and an incompetent person in the dealership. Get Skoda UK to pull the finger out, play the safety card hard with them. When my car was delivered with a defective brake pipe from the factory they were really uninterested. I reminded them that now they know about the problem they are part of it. When they realised that they did escalate it further.

It is the same with your dealer, they have a poor service manager out there representing their brand. If anyone dies as a result of such incompetence and they knew about it how would they feel.

Have you been driving the car all this time?

All the dealers are franchises, they buy the car from Skoda UK and that is the only involvement Skoda UK have with the dealer before purchase. After that they only become involved if warranty work is needed on the car, and then they only pay the dealer for work already carried out on your behalf. Skoda customer services were correct when they stated that the contract is between yourself and the dealer.

Leaving the transport blocks in the suspension of the vRS (they are only on the vRS models of Fabia and Octavia) used to be very common and even now I would hazard a guess and say there are many more that maybe driving round with them still fitted. There is no excuse for them not being removed, as they are pretty obvious if you look for them.

I would have accepted the 2 free services already offered, that alone could save you quiet a few hundred quid and I bet that the car has been fine in all the miles you have put on since the blocks were removed.

I had a chat with ex-skoda mechanic( now freelance mechanic) he said you might want to get rid of it, the damage to the suspension and other rubber mounts within the car may have been damaged due to the lack of any softening of the suspension, even on rally spec cars there is suspension, you would have had nada, the damage could well be hidden and all of a sudden BANG!!! :(

How stupid, they are supposed to give the car a pdi check and take these sorts of things off! 2000 miles of driving with those must be painful, muppets. Ask for 1st service free and check the suspension isn't ruined.

on your fuely you have got price wrong, example

£1.319 a litre x 4.55 to convert price per gallon = £6.01 a gallon

the damage could well be hidden and all of a sudden BANG!!! :(

That's exactly my concern... It may be ok, but on the other hand...

Maybe over reaction probably it's fine but you've got to make sure, for yourself and other road users

Agree but as usual no real concern from anyone. Try the tactic I used with Skoda, which worked.

Tell them that they have designed a packing block which allows the dealer to deliver a car with it still in position. You need to understand how this could have happened.

Tell them you need to know if any damage that could be life threatening has been done. Tell them that you doubt very much that the dealer has the competence to make the judgement and you need an answer from the factory. If they believe the dealer can make this judgement ask them to put it in writing.

As well as calling put it in an email to them. They will not reply but you have it on record. Also after every conversation send a summary of your understanding of the conversation by email. Be polite but make it clear this is a serious safety concern that they need to help you resolve. You will be dealing with soneone trained to palm you off and you need to work past them. Make them feel uneasy about palming you off so they escalate further.

You are not talking annoying rattles here!

Another thing to do is record any telephone conversations as well. Most mobile phones are able to record now and always ask for their full name as well. Just make sure you say the conversation is being recorded for legal purposes
