£9 for the bulb and free p&p..... pricey but it was just an example of a bulb. Saying that I do have a pair as I knew they where error free by recommendation.

As you may have seen from my other posts I tend to spend a bit on lights.

Nope as you'll need to repalce the shole unit inc the wires:

The breakdown adn the picture is below:

Side lights: LED-LED bar

Stop lights: LED

Fog lights: Bulb

Reversing lamp: Bulb

Indicator lights: LED

These units are EU Road Approved with the E Certificate.

If someone is interested I'm more than happy to help with buying these units.

Matty

Waste of time these. I contacted the seller and they're for the 'European community' (fog on left)

Obviously the UK's not included  :finger:

hi

ive got a 13plate roomster and really want to fit some leds inside and on the numberplate.

ive read that many of the leds fitted inside continue to run even if the ignition is off and the car is locked, are there any bulbls out there that have enough resistance for this not to happen??? and does this problem extend to the numberplate leds??

really keen to get some answers cause its a brilliant effect and if i can get around the problem il definately be going for this mod.

cheers

The residual current on the number plate lights doesn't happen on my car. In all honesty though, the bulb failure warning light on the dash is the issue  :wonder:

Should make it easier to plug all my stuff in at 5am now it's very dark in the mornings!

Plus as the rest of the Dash is White LED's I thought it only fitting!

I hope not!. The w5w's were marked 'CanBus' (I know the interior lights are not monitored!) and had an array of Diodes and Resistors all over them!, the Festoon was just a 4x LED 42mm non canbus.

I'll keep you posted!..

I must say the w5w's weren't the easiest to fit when you have mahoosive meat-hooks with Chipolata fingers for hands!, I managed to squish one of the contacts, and had to straighten it!, which involved a pen knife, torch and a lot of swearing!!

Now to raid my Piggybank, and pluck up the courage to do the DRL's, Fogs, Sides and possibly the H7's, though I might just get a pair of Nightbreakers in there!! Oh and some Silver Indicators!!  ;)

Does anyone know 'exactly' how the Front lights on a 2013 Greenline (and some of the other new models) work?? there's only one 'w5w' and one 'H7' in each unit, plus a mahoosive lens thing!! I believe the Lens thing is the 'dipped beam' but where does it get it's light source from?? is it some sort of Sorcery or Alien technology??

I still don't understand how the reflector is illuminated (dipped beam) when the H7 is not (main beam only)

PHv7h14.jpg

I can see the Side light (innermost) the H7 (central) and then the reflector with the Indicator above. it's the black arts I tells ye!!

I'm not sure but here goes.

The lens under the indicator is a projector, this is your dipped beam. H7 bulb.

The bulb in the reflector housing is also an H7 and is the main beam.

You do not have the DE module housing so therefore no shutter system.

If you could post another picture showing the whole unit as the inner part is not so clear.

Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

So I have 2x H7 bulbs in each unit??

But the Brochure say's the 2013 Greenline II has a 'Halogen Projector Headlights with DE Module'  :wonder:

I'll have a look over the weekend, and probly get some more/better pictures up. Then I just need to decide which Bulbs to upgrade to LED's :D

From what I can see there is an H7 bulb under a w5w bulb to the right as you look at that picture, is that right? If so then you have another H7 behind the projector lens.

Easy test, turn on your dipped and the projector lens (on the outside under the indicator) should be lit. Then flick main beam on and the bulb in the reflector lens should also illuminate.

2xH7 is my guess

Yep that's what I saw yesterday (then I couldn't see anything for about an hour!)

So 2 packs of Nightbreakers on the order form!! Along with the Silver Indicators, 2x 1156-CREE DRL's and a set of H8 LED Fogs :)

Where did I put my Piggy Bank??
