Maybe make that the cover shot, and dedicate the calendar in Andrew's memory

I would also be happy to pay a higher price to allow for a charity element, as suggested earlier

Great idea Bryan.

R.I.P. kid, true genuine guy always smiling and full of fun. Sadly missed by all that knew him and others that were yet to meet him properly :(

The photo shoot idea would be a very fitting tribute to Andrew

In regards to the Scottish Meet, plans are to hold one a week today in memorial, but if numbers are short, we'll have one VERY soon when everyone can attend. I'll open a thread in the meet section for all those that wish to attend and will update accordingly. As always, all are welcome but even more so due to tragic incident.

Very very sad news, as a previous post, thought it was a prank before I opened the post. quote]

I am very sorry if it came across as that, i wasn't sure of the best way of wording it at the time as i was a bit numb after reading it but thought people would want to know so posted it up.

Really sad to hear this - thoughts are with all his family, friends and colleagues.

Had been pleased to hear he'd passed his motorbike theory earlier this year and had been looking forward to a Brisky motorbike meet at some point.

Calendar sounds an excellent and very fitting idea.

I found out about this terrible news in the Members' Motors section of Scottish VAG.

I didn't know Andrew but read a lot of his posts on here (also followed the progress of his Fab - he did a fantastic job).

This thread is testament that he was obviously a top lad - sad loss, especially so young.

A tragic loss.

Having had exchanges with Andrew in the past he was a top guy and a shame to have gone so young.

Maybe make that the cover shot, and dedicate the calendar in Andrew's memory

Yep as soon as Rob suggested I had the front cover in mind and was browsing through his photobucket looking for a candidate.

The overlooking the sea shot is fitting as it could be.

Consider it done.

I Must Go Down to the Sea

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,

And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,

And a grey mist on the sea's face and a grey dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;

And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,

To the gull's way and the whale's way where the wind's like a whetted knife;

And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.

Cearcal a Chuain / The Ocean's Cycle

Tha sinn uile air cuan

Stiureadh cuairt troimh ar beatha

A' seoladh geola dhorch

Air chall an greim na mara

Tha a'ghaoth air ar cul

Tha a' gheol a' cumail roimhe

'S cha dean uair no an cuan

Tonaisgh dhuinn no rian

A' mhuir tha i ciuin

Tha i fiadhaich tha i farsainn

Tha i alainn tha i diamhair

Tha i gamhlasach is domhain

O ach sin tha sinn dall

'S chaneil againn ach beatha

Tog an seol, tog an ramh

Gus an fhaigh sinn astar ann

Ach tha mi'n duil, tha mi'n duil

Nuair a bhios a' ghrian dol fodha

Chi iad mi a' stiuireadh 'n iar

Null a dh'Uibhist air a' chearcal

Cearcal a' chuain

Gu brath bidh i a' tionndadh

Leam gu machair geal an lar

Far an do thoisich an la

We are all on an ocean

Steering a course through life

Sailing a dark vessel

Lost in the grasp of the ocean

The wind is astern

The boat forging ahead

And time and the sea

Makes no sense to us at all

The sea is calm

It is wild, it is vast

It is beautiful, it is mysterious

It is vengeful and deep

O, but we, are blind

and all we have is life

Raise the sail, lift the oars

Til we get up speed

I intend, I do intend

when the sun is sinking down

To be seen steering a westerly course

On the ocean's cycle to Uist

O the ocean's cycle

Forever I'll be turning

To take me back to the pole machair in the west

Where the day has dawned
