Though I think its the rear end, big ass, twin pipes and a decent size spoiler.

mix of the size of the boot and the economy after coming from a turbo bora

a cavernous boot that you couldnt get anything big into because of the opening and average of 28.5 mpg over the last 3000 miles that i had it.

would say the octys boots bigger and easy to get stuff in and 43mpg is a hell of a difference

It's great all round and lots of gadgets to play with. Hard to think of a single point but a good balance of strong performance and economy springs boringly to mind.

Also, too many things to pick out one point:

the oomph from the 1.8 TSi engine, almost at any speed and any gear (almost!)

the ginormous boot, especially when back seats down and shelf removed - I call it my truck

the incredibly easy to clean finish - Cappuchino. Hardly shows dirt, and when it does it removes so easily

comfortable insides, especially in extremes of weather - quick to warm, quick to cool.

the great rear parking sensors - I seem to get into spaces smaller than the car (okay, so what's a few dents!!)

I could go on....but I won't!
