  • For christs sake give it a rest you lot

  • Not long back meself... Cracking weekend as ever - especially the massively speedy run up kirkstone pass lol!

Setting off just after dinner from the Wigan area, see you there guys.

Gotta jet wash the car in the rain first, yes I'm that sad.

Dave

Just a warning to everyone... make sure youve got maps/proper satnav, as its unlikely youll get any phone signal at the campsite.

Ive just checked three, Orange/tmob, Vodafone and o2 - all their coverage checkers show no coverage!.

Nought wrong with that, best time to wash the car is in the rain as long as you leave the car to dry. I live near a main road so do my best to wash in the rain. Neighbours must think I'm nuts.

Setting off on the trip at 3pm

I was going to give mine a quick wash but decided not to because of the rain, plus I'll be motorway driving this aft.

Now it is dry and sunny! Quick wash on the drive in a bit then maybe...

filthy wet here at the mo! lol..

O2 will work at the campsite (Just) .... as for the others, next best is orange, the rest dont work... we are headin off now, will be there in half an hour or so :)

Are you near buttermere, its on the right just before the lake, watch out for a green mk2 fabia

I'm a very sad panda now hearing that you're all heading off etc...

Is there a white building, set back from the road? (a google streetview of the entrance might help people find it)

Better invest in some wellies then :giggle: see you all tomorrow

Hmmmm, nice....take you pick hehe.

Got a limited number of black and the reversed versions. Reversed version done especially with Mr Softscoop in mind... ;)

I like the look of these. Any chance of buying one on the basis i did my own solo Briskoda Lake District run last weekend?? :)

Yeah go on then, which colour would you like/direction.

You could always come to the mini run later in the year too hehe.

I'll have interior/black if possible please.

May come to the mini run later in the year, depends when it's going to be and if SWMBO fancies the journey again, though i'm sure she won't mind. ;)

Cool, I will sort asap when i'm back home monday/tuesday. Just pm me a postal address

I'm confused. Are we staying at Gatesgarth Farm (as stated in the first post), or Dalesgarth Farm (the google link above)?

Cheers mate. PM sent.

I thought so, I was just checking and making sure people don't go to the the wrong place.

I guess Dalesgarth is the nearest post code to Gatesgarth. Gatesgarth Farm is the other end of Buttermere to the postecode (on Google), and where we are camping.

Sorry for any confusion, been a hectic 3 days for me so rushed that post a bit lol....

Anyway, I'll see you all for an ice cream at Abbott Lodge. I just hope it's Ice Cream weather!

Oh, can someone bring a bottle opener, just in case I forget.

Ok just to remind people that the drive on Saturday will be leaving the campsite at 3pm and heading for the ice cream stop. So you can either join us at the campsite, or wait at a layby near Keswick or meet us at the ice cream stop, should be there approx 4pm.

approx location of layby - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=A66&daddr=A66&hl=en&sll=54.609311,-3.153527&sspn=0.002144,0.006727&geocode=FdBGQQMdw9vP_w%3BFYVHQQMdnd7P_w&mra=me&mrsp=1,0&sz=17&t=m&z=17

Ice cream stop - Abbott lodge, clifton, nr penrith, CA10 2HD

SUNDAY drive, aiming to leave camp approx 9.30am. So either meet at camp site or near the roundabout at the thearte by the lake roundabout in Keswick CA12 5DJ

whats the weather like still ranin or dried up a bit lol.
