Any room for another one?

I have heard that this is a great meet and for the last few months been very temped to join you lot. So I've finally decided I'll come and join you. :yes:

I was going to come only on Sunday, however as everybody seams to be camping, I'll do the same, even though I haven't slept in a tent for 10 years! Looking at the plan, I was thinking of meeting you at Penrith (the ice cream farm), as I would be driving past it to get to the camp-site anyway (on A66).

Just errected my borrowed tent on the front garden. Very easy to put up and Samuel is currently having a great time playing in it

I check the vids out. I have been to the lakes, must be about 8 years ago when i had my Peugeot 206 and did pop up briefly in March this year when i went to pick up some alloys but will be nice to go back for less of a flying visit in the vRS.

If it's any help to you (although I could be mistaken), pictures 5 & 6 on your second link look like your on the North East side of Wrynose Pass near the Three Shires Stone with Little Langdale Tarn in the distance

Yep that sounds perfect, most folk I presume will be here around midday. Saturday route leaves at 3pm to the ice cream stop, then on to some food at Carlisle. I would suggest to most people filling up at Penrith or Keswick before arriving at campsite, makes for less disruption of timings etc.

For info there is a Shell garage at Penrith and BP at Keswick.

The BP is 141.9 for diesel in Keswick as of today.

just a note to everyone:

the police are doing a summer "drink drive" campain, including specifically catching the "morning after" over limit jobs...

although it wont be a problem for those of us stopping friday night (with the drive at 3pm the next day!) but we may want to take it a little easier on the sat night (then maybe go mad again on the sunday night!)

just a thought, for those (like me!) who like a drink
