There may be one slot on the 10am session with the rest of us, but there should be plenty of space on the 8am session.

I am doing both, 8am in the Fiesta ST (stock for comparison) and 10am in the Yeti.

A few clips from Blyton, chasing James in his Golf 4motion and Dave in his Octy estate.

Note to self, next time remember to turn the traction control off.

Saved the tyres from any serious wear though. :D

I was the passenger here...and I didn't swear...!!!

Not able to do this one but perhaps 11 Oct will be possible?

Well... if I am honest I doubt I'd go for the KW v1 as you know the v3 is going to be better.

I really liked the v3 on my mk1 Fabia.

I can see me getting the v3 for the Yeti VRS.

Then giving the old suspension to GAZ to make me a track set up... then maybe putting the KW v3 on my diesel Yeti...

Did anymore happen on this?

No, I got the KWv3 and it's so good it's staying on the blue one. :)

The video seriously doesn't do justice on how much you get chucked round your seat in those corners! Either that or you were being mean when I was a passenger haha! Awesome car though!

I know, it doesn't look fast because the car doesn't move around. Just the people inside do. :D

Minimal lean in the corners and just feels planted.

I've spent the morning reading through this tread and I am completly astonished of what you've accomplished with your Yeti.

But since the main purpose with the car is track performance, how come you haven't got a haldex upgrade? That's a pretty common upgrade to do here in Sweden and a quick google-search showed me some suppiliers in the UK aswell. The down side will probably be that you'll ad a kg or so to the weight of your Yeti. :D

Keep it up!

Thanks. :)

It's not something I've worried about so far because the Haldex 4 is so capable.

But having said that the car isn't finished yet.  Assuming it ever will be... ;)

Will it be finished in time for you to move the bits to YE71 VRS in 2021?

Assuming they still do Yeti's, they still go decent petrol engines etc etc :P

I'll be retired by then so I won't care. :giggle:

Hang on that's only 7 years away... I'll be 46. :(

Had a go at brake ducts for the Yeti as it's fairly heavy and does wear it's front brakes quite a bit, will be interesting to see how they go at How Fast during practice.

Also noticed my front tyres are pretty much shot.

No way do I want to be driving to Bedford, doing more track time and then driving home on illegal rubber.

So need to fit some more track day tyres for next weekend.

Non Slicks James. ;)

Not going for Slicks, why ever not?   One reason I can think of.... it will probably  :rain:  and that will make me  :'( as there is naff all tread left on the Federals  :o  after Blyton Park.

Best made plans and all that...

Going for Federals again or trying something else?

I left the ipad on this project thread on a table, go out to sort out a drinkand come back to find the girlfriend reading through it! Considering she isn't a Yeti fan that's not bad going at all :) I can see it now "can we get a yeti to replace the 4 cars you've got?" The answer will be not yet!!!!

"Sure! Your round wasn't it?"

"Sure! Your round wasn't it?"

Haha I would get a Yeti but I'm 17 so insurance will be high on a 2.0 and I'm fooling around with other vehicles that I shouldn't be at the moment! Might be an idea later on though as it's 4x4 and can tow so could in theory replace the clio and the next van I'll get!

You're pretty lucky you can insure anything at 17 :P Your area will help a lot, my mums Carmarthenshire post code still halfs my premiums, and they are not massive to begin with.

Leave the Yeti to the oldies :P

It's not too bad I've had the Fabia and the Clio were both roughly £1600 and believe it or not a 1.7CDTI van was only £1200 but it didn't get permanently insured in the end just a weeks temp cover! I did get a quote of a Yeti this morning for the age of 18 which is no different in price to what I've been paying on the Fabia or the Clio! It does help to live in the middle of nowhere anyway sorry for hijacking the BossFox thread with insurance talk

Leave the Yeti to the oldies

I'd love to see Aunt Gertrudes face when she dips the clutch on Richards Yeti and hoons it away from the light  :D

That's the joy of something like the Yeti, even on standard engines (well 170 anyway) the thing flies, so it is a proper sleeper. Granted, Richards is Race Blue with carbon seats, but for all the Barry Boys and flash Harrys out there it must be great to wipe the floor with them

Oh, Richard, any day you've got a spare bit of time you're more than welcome to bring the Yeti over to me    there's a nice bit of road not far from here  :p

I am so tempted by a 1.8TSI for that reason (inspired by Richards and Beti). I found with my old Seat fewer people would block me from overtakes etc than in the Celica. Want to go back to something that people ignore, but fun :)

Its not logical though, I should wait until I have kids to have a family car... and have something impractical now :)

Nope, I think it's a great plan

Because.............Superb

Joking aside, there is no hiding the K04 Yeti's hugely influenced my car choice. I think they just sum up what Brisky is all about for me, surprising the masses with something a bit unconventional :)

I've got a spare set in the garage, but I can't remember what they are.

Not Toyos, that's for sure.

Yokohamas I think.

Out and about in Norfolk today.

Parked the car, came back 30 minutes later and the only other red Yeti I'd seen all day had decided to say hello.
