  • We have gone from this:   To this:   To this!!!       A Race Blue Yeti!   I need to get the Annapurnas on I think to complete the change.

I impressed myself.

22 minutes to change a set of brake pads with basic tools. :)

(and a handy assistant to lend a wheel brace... ;))

Very impressed with the PB brake stuff now and in use I prefer the PB race pads to the Ferrodo DS2500 and DS3000.

Not to mention they are cheaper!

Pads are cheaper yes... but the Brake kits are not. :D

Though, I guess you need to define cheap, when a set of second hand LCR Brembos are pushing £500.

And limit wheel choice

For replacement racing pads and floating/vented/grooved 330mm discs I am paying the same or less than for decent new 312mm kit...

Yes, there is some shipping costs, but overall it's cost effective, top quality kit (I now consider my Yeti set up well tested) that fits under stock OEM alloys.

I like the look of their 330mm 4pot kit.

Plus it's available in green. :D

Quite reasonably priced too from what I remember!

Wow very very quick

I looked into the 4 pot kit for the front and based on the piston size formula I had it worked out that it was a bad match for the master cylinder.

Bigger master cylinder needed?

No, the CSA (cross sectional area) of the brake pistons were more than 1% smaller than the standard brake caliper.

Great video - the ability to put all your power down mid corner must have been amazing!

And pulling past some more exotica - you need some swastikas on the sides for your kills/over takes at brands.

Noticed the wee caterhams being useless but probably fun!

I wouldn't class soaking wet and freezing cold getting lapped by a Skoda family car as fun Adam! I would class being the pilot of said family car as fun though!

Richard, yet another entertaining video that kept me laughing! Looked like the Cossie driver had absolutely no intention let you past even though overall you were so much quicker? When will they learn? Resistance is futile!!

That was the first time in the video.

The second he tried to force us off at Paddock Hill bend and someone from MSV went to have a chat with them.

After that they were fine.

They didn't like being overtaken it seems, so adopted a game of indicating, pulling to inside to make space and then giving it maximum beans down the straights and pulling back in front of us to slow us down in the corners.  Did it a few times.

Not what you are supposed to do on a track day at all.

Once we had overtaken the Cossie we left it behind quite quickly as the Yeti was much quicker through the corners.

Hence we caught up with it quite briskly.

A few surprised sports car drivers

Another highly entertaining video Richard

Out of interest, you got any mid week days planned? Weekends are a PITA with work and spending time with the kids but as I am taking the p1ss with my hours at the moment I've got some free time  :)

Interesting that the Yeti goes so well in the wet. How are the RSR tyres holding up?

And in my view, the Cossie should have blue flagged and then black flagged for that ****.

They died after 4 track days so I'm on Yokos now.

The Cossie did much worse later... which was why MSV had a chat.

Only a chat? Shocking behaviour in your video and if he got worse he should have been sent home

Amazing to watch such an upright family car behave so well even in torrential rain - loved the powerslide and giggling!

The cossie should have been sent home from watching his behaviour imho.

Kinda hoping its raining at Combe now for my trip out :D

I certainly don't! After seeing that M3 twitch on Richards video

Well, after I overtook him the first time and showed we were clearly faster overall we had this the next time...

Arguably I could have held back, but with him braking so early I thought he was letting us pass after sticking two fingers up to prove a point and go quickly in a straight line.
