No.

I need to do some research in this field really... I've fallen behind the curve...

Not as advanced as the set up you are going to use from the Audi TT, but the VR6 I have with the low boost turbo gives very little lag because it still has fairly high compression, lag is almost none existent and all the original torque is there low down, turbo comes in at about 1750rpm giving the little bit extra needed to keep up on track and overcome the extra weight.

OR at least it was the plan until Richard decided to raise the bar again :envy:  :D

Plan B is in progress already, "project catch the YeTTI RS" has been hatched and will be executed, hope I can get it done before you move onto whatever follows YeTTi RS

The Yeti R8 next? Ohh that would be going backwards as this has slayed an R8 limited edition.

Who know's with Richard, could be anything  ;)

I have seen reports on the internet and some secret recording of Richard with his small scale development vehicle at his test facility somewhere in Essex, this may be the pre cursor for the next thing in the Yeti development program.  :D

It has to be said, this makes Richard look almost sane with his internal combustion based projects.

If only the kart was Fantasy Green!

Just caught up with this and

Good man!

same as, just caught up now :D

Imma gunna buk a passinju lap

Shotgun passenger seat

Yeti dropped off today, TT-RS already there.

First job testing can-bus compatibility.

Both sets of clocks show revs to 8,000 so either can be used. TT-RS just shows red line 200rpm higher.

If they are compatible enough we'll keep the Yeti clocks.

Plan is to lose some more weight out of the Yeti, do a complete drivetrain swap and keep it looking as normal as possible.

Oh, and get it over 420bhp/420lbft.

Game on. :)

You don't hang about do you ?

Oh, and we need photos. Lots of photos of the build please :)

I'm reading every single post in this thread and I'm speechless...I have the second dibs at "the Shotgun Passenger Seat"...:D

So when is the yeti engine going in the Roomster ;)

What's the difference in the drive trains Richard?

Isn't the TTRS still a Heldex system?

Yes, they are both Haldex 4. :)

I believe the TT-RS is just beefed up to handle more torque, but we'll see.

If so it's preferable over the stock system running over double power.

The plan is to swap the whole lot, engine, box, haldex/diff and then try to get it talking to the Yeti dash pod.

As they are both can-bus and 6 months apart in age it won't be too tricky... fingers crossed. :D

Ah that makes sense :) are there any haldex upgrades, similar to the blue controller for the mk4 platform?

Yes there is an upgraded Haldex controller and you can fit a front LSD too.

Will you be? :)

Makes sense no point in doing a job twice over, do it once properly.

Awesome, the handling is going to be epic
