OK, there seems to be an inordinate ammount of people having problems with their vRS (or other model thats DSG) now, I know all the blarg blarg about "its a forum and people with problems come to post ect, BUT I've been here a long time, and the new vRS seems to be more problematic to me...

SSOOO I'd like a list from vRS owners, of whether its been problem free, or serious problems (bad DSG, Misfire ect that causes problems to actually use the car, not just a minor hesitation at roundabouts) just to see the balance of good or bad cars... mine has been problem free for 24k, but its the least I would expect, my previous fiat was problem free for 110,000 miles...

I think maybe another important data to be provided is the date the car was manufactured, so:

Model: Fabia vRS

Date of Manufacturing: Feb/March 2011

KMs: 14.000

Problems: None (No oil usage, no misfires-EPC lights, no weird DSG behaviour)

PS. ...and another thing worth being mentioned could be any power modifications that have been made, so:

Power mods: None (rear ARB)

Date of manufacturing: 10/2011

KMs: 4000

Problems: some oil usage, expected though. Only 5km to work, car doesnt not warm up properly during -15.

Seat warmer burned through seat cover, replaced. Strange creaking noise on right hand side (door trim) when driving on ruff roads, haven't found reason to it yet.

No issues for me. on a 60 Plate picked up Jan 2011 not sure on manufacture

No serious problems so far - a few niggles which I havent brought to dealers attention yet (creaky rear suspension when wet/cold, key fob central locking not worked twice (believe it's an ECU flash)). Used 1 litre of oil so far for top ups; not overly worried at the moment, last car used about 5 litres in same distance.

mine is a 60 plate... and I'm gonna put pansom in no serious problems, as a little oil usage and door creaks don't meet my criteria ;)

Registered May 11, purchased new

Just over 4k

Misfire warning a number of times from new but stopped after a few miles

Handbrake lever broken from factory, replaced under warranty.

Defect in all 4 Dark Chrome wheels - oxidised - to be replaced under warranty

No major oil usage, think I've put 1/2 litre in if that.

Disappointed about the wheels but otherwise been no trouble.

edit: yet to see dealer about my wheels, hope I can get them replaced too!

Mods: none so far

Problems: Misfiring, identified as a broken cable to the MAS sensor. No misfiring since cable replaced.

Squeeky accelerator pedal replaced under warranty, starting to squeek again though.

I'm suprised, it seemed there were more with problems than without on reading the forum daily... must just be an illusion lol...

Problems : creaking rear suspension in wet and cold, no other problems, EXCEPT I find the throttle response quite poor.

My vRS born in November 2011

In 3500 miles used 750ml of oil. only problem has been a leaking screen wash bottle

No real issues, no noticeable oil usage so far, but low mileage. Engine does seem to be loosening up and now starting to push it a bit harder. First DSG so not sure if there is hesitation or it is normal, feels preety good though. Only hesitation I would comment on is when going from reverse to drive, it can take a second or so for it to engage in drive.

Had oil usage until 10,000 miles and now it's not used any for 11k. Never had a problem with DSG.
