Octavia Drivers - do they look down on us?

Featured Replies

Sorry if iv caused any offence, i knew what i ment in my head it just came out wrong

Non taken......I knew that's what you meant but I couldn't help teasing you!! :giggle:

Driving hme from East Sussex yesterday, a Golf Driver thumbed up and flashed his lights as he approached from the opposite direction. Several Skoda drivers have acknowledged me in the past few weeks, regardless of model.

From a woman driver who loves her vRS!

My wife gets acknowledged when she's driving the VRS, yet I never do.

You know what Im implying ;)

I had a monster truck look down on me today .....

. I do!

Hardly, we look back at them from our rear view mirrors.

Tony

I don't seem to get noticed much in my 1.2 HTP :giggle:

I get a lot of attention on my Monte Carlo! people turning heads :D One guy actually stopped me on the way out of my car and ask what kind of car this is :p

Was it not more of a "What the **** is that!?!?"

I've encountered one on the road in the four months I've had mine - that's a good thing in my book emoticon-0148-yes.gif . Don't want Cooper S style ubiquity!

I've only seen one other Fabia mk2 vrs since I got mine last Christmas but i've seen about 6 or 7 Monte carlo's

What's a Monte Carlo?

Even though I like Octavias I don't bother looking unless it is an "exciting" one. :giggle:

Octavias???? Oh those cars all the Bournemouth cabbies drive, how can a taxi driver possibly look down on a Fabia :giggle:

Ive had a couple of Roomster owners wave at me, but never when I had the Fabia apart from a Felicia driver who sort of smiled knowingly!

I always look down on fabias, octavias and superbs.

The seats in a yeti are higher! ;)

Actually I think you may find its the other way round as the new fabia seating position seems to be a little bit higher :D

I grew up surrounded by VW's so was used to the whole toot and wave community feeling (but that was in the 70/80's :D) its not so noticable any more and even less so with Skoda owners. Different matter on Club outings though :D

I live 10 minutes shy of Peterhead. What on earth were you doing there? haha

I hadn't been to Balmoor before and Thistle were playing there - whore of a drive to witness a 1-0 defeat :rain: . I did return for the second leg of the play-off - happier times :sun: .

We are all looked down on by the Yeti drivers ..... :-)

Tongue positioned, wedged in cheek, cheek in face that is.

Lorna, you forgot the add Freedom Members between mods and users :p

I've gotten alot off great replies for my Fabia vRS, you think it's rare over in GBP?

Skoda Sweden had some commercial on TV about 3 months ago for 1 or 2 weeks, but that was all!

Ofc you won't see any out in the streets if they don't even say it exist :p!

Oh and I'm number 9 on the toplist for Skodas on Swedens most popular car-enthusiast-bragging-site-thingy!

That after all Octavias... and a Rapid!!!

I claim they have cheated tho, they've been members for 3-5 years while I've only been there for 11 months x).

"Who said that?"

"Oh its you fellow little fabia owner, I didn;t see you down there"

Honestly though not at all I'm a fabia lad myself, though superb and yeti owners thats a different story...........just kidding!

Friends,

by next Saturday, I'll be changing my current Octavia MPI EState, for a Fabia Greenline Estate. Why? Because I'm an old fogey!

I'm looking for more MPG, to be sure. Having had a test drive in it yesterday, I believe even the seats are better. Plus the 1.2 diesel engine gives the impression of better performance. So boyo's - job done!!

Frank.
