If you could only change ONE thing...what would it be?

Featured Replies

Right, but surely anyone driving that close to your car has misjudged things so badly that they might just go down the side of your car instead?

They do look cool, though.

  • I'd change the lottery ticket in the glove box to a winning one.

  • Automatic folding mirrors for me as well I reckon. Or a tailgate that doesn't get the boot contents wet when you open it after rain.... Well, apart from the 3.0TDI VAG unit that you can't fit under t

  • There's been a few votes for electrically folding wing mirrors. Why? What's the advantage with them? My vote would be for heated steering wheel, on cold days, heated seats and mirrors aren't going to

Maybe, but we can't control other's actions can we? :)

The kind person who kicked/knocked it off did just get the mirror thankfully. Less thankful was the amount it cost to sort it out. The motorcyclist did clip the wing as well though, you're right there.

Just handy to have really. And would be nice if they folded and unfolded when locking/unlocking the car from the remote too

Sure can't! I'd like some kind of gadget to protect the side of the car from supermarket car parket 'dings', I know you can get the rubbing type strips. Was thinking of something that drapes down the side of the car that you fold away and put in the boot when you've finished. Sounds like an extraordinary amount of effort to go to, but car-park dings are almost a certainty and the cost to repair are pretty high :(

I hate people who can't open their doors without damaging someone else's motor :(

Buy the Superb Elegance (170BHP TDi) 4x4 that we drooled over, when we were still considering buying brand new.

Failing that, it'd have to be a heated windscreen for winter, it has heated door mirrors, which is nice but not as good!

Flat bottomed steering wheel in VRS. Why is Skoda the odd one out with in the VAG group?

I'd look at a better factory fit sound system. I believe there is a 12 speaker option available in some markets but not here! Steering wheel controls would be good too.

Somewhat ashamedly I always think of something like a 50 MJ/24 kV capacitor bank fully charged and connected to the rubbing strip . . . not sure what that means in practice but in my head I would just come back and find a small pile of smoldering ashes next to the dint in my car.

If I could wind back time I wold order maxi dot - guess wo forgot to specify that and is regretting it. just swapped my Bolero for a Columbus and would love to have the directions and my phone book on the dash as well :-(

A better looking gearknob in the DSG

I miss the MFSW on my manual Vrs Diesel - why only available on DSG's - i had it on me Scout! :@

Just because,

SUK are well known for this type of discriminatory selection of additions.

Remember the electric folding mirrors fiasco that ran for months

Why be difficult when its so easy to be bloody impossible to deal with.

I'd like a better looking knob too ..... mines a bit mis-shapen :-)

A cigarette lighter in the boot on the hatch back!

(Stream MP3) The radio reception is rubbish and the sound very poor (in comparison to my last car, a Hyundai Coupe with a £100 Sony replacement head unit).

Another 30bhp or make it as quick to 60 as the Audi A3 170

58 plate Race Blue Octi VRS CR 170

That's easy - the petrol version.

Longer arm rest... its too short and slides back to easily!

It's 2012, so some USB charging points scattered around the cabin, please :)

have installed the power booster thingy on your antenna feed? apparently its a necessity (so ive read here a few times ;-) ) to make a replacement head unit work..

Engine, want a 1.8TSI or 2.0TSI vRS...

1. The safe locking message on the MFD each time I switch it off.... Get rid of that please.

2. I would also like a blank screen on the MFD so I don't have to have one of the current readouts.

3. I would also like a digital speedo in MPH on the MFD instead of the KPH.

4. A second power socket would be nice.

5. The plastic clip on the windscreen. I'd like that waste of plastic to be gone.

6. I would like a proper power tailgate.

7. I would also like the push to start key setup from the Passat.

8. Slightly larger front doors would be good.

9. The centre mesh fabric on the front VRS seats needs to be more robust. Its wearing a bit too quickly for me.

I know I can get most of this stuff if I mod it one way or another but I'd quite like it out of the factory.

Also while we are at the factory, I wouldn't mind not waiting 7 months for the next one.

Thats my ONE thing I would change ;-)

Stone chip proof paint :giggle:

I quite like this little addition, saves the sticky deposits left behind by those pay and display parking tickets.

Me too , replaced mine 3 weeks ago as when I had new windscreen fitted , he could always remove it, and the Thread was one thing, not a list :giggle:

a proper metal dip stick, the funny shaped black plastic ones are hopeless

Mine too, the wife's always moaning
