This might help you? I'm missing the same part.

Also I'm jealous how awesome and clean his Fabia is. Mine has rust in the front fenders, I really need front mudflaps too, boot liner is currently in my shopping cart too... I also need a new shifter boot

Thanks mate but I'm getting another car this year so not really worth bothering with it. AnnoyingPentium will hate me for this but I'm thinking of getting a Toyota Aygo :D

I don't actually, the little Aygo appeals to me, the "new shape" one in orange looks a bit like a Jaffa Cake to me. So it wins. :D

Funny that, I've just eaten a couple of Jaffa Cakes :D

An excellent choice. I was about to say cake/biscuit but that's a controversial topic for the off-topic section I reckon. :D

It used to be, but McVities won their case against HMRC so there is legal precedent now.

Does anyone know where I can get some Fabia MK1 front mudflaps? Because the genius designers of the car put the mudflaps on the wheels that don't drive the car. Very funny :D

I'm from Romania, so hopefully shipping can be a bit cheaper. I've tried SuperSkoda and SkodaParts but shipping costs more than what I need to buy.

Thanks @AnnoyingPentium, the boot liner is already in my shopping cart, now I'm just patiently waiting for my paycheck so I can order them.

Another question: does the Felicia 1.3 MPi valve cover fit on the 1.4 MPi 8v Fabia? They look the same, but the Felicia has the cool Skoda logo on it. Here is a comparison

I think the rocker cover would fit on the engine but they are different part numbers. One difference I can see is that the Felicia one doesn't have the tapped hole for the air filter mounting engine cover.

Air filter mounting? On my car, that's a hole for the engine cover :D

I just got rid of the cover anyway, it vibrates against the engine and sounds like a tractor no matter how tightened it is.

Also makes working on the engine and washing it a lot easier.

Sorry, engine cover is what I meant to say. If you're running without the cover (as I am) the lack of that hole won't matter.

Ooooh look at yous, able to run yours without a cover... :giggle:

Meanwhile... mine is part of the cover...

The 6v model didn't get the cover and got the airbox instead, as you'll be aware. The first air filter I ordered for mine arrived and it was for a 6v and not a 12v. So I sent it back and just went to TMS in Ayr, only £4.65 there! :)

Did you get sorted out with a fuel flap springy thing, Ryan?

Nice one :)

How do to a power steering flush :) Old liquid and new liquid side by side comparison.

Well, the power steering fluid was never flushed or changed. It also made the loud pump very quiet now. It used to make a weird buzz, I don't know how to explain.

Got my mitts on some Depo headlight units from ECP.

Oh my god, will you just DRIVE the bloody thing and stop buying it stuff, it'll never sleep with you no matter how nice you are to it!

His car is like mine but nicer in every way. :)

Mine's nearly base model but at least I have foglights and power windows.

AC? What's that? Also check out the rust on the front fenders :D

Still a nice little bit of kit though. My Fabia started on steels like yours. I must say, I quite like a Cayenne coloured Fabia. :)

Thanks. Even though it's nearly base model, I just can't give up on the pushrod 1.4 MPi. So easy to work on, and it's very light. Pulls much better than people think!

I'm eyeing some second-hand alloys right now.

I like the color too, I'm the only one in my entire city who has a Fabia in this color.

Gonna have to find out how to repair these hail dents though, if it costs too much then I won't bother. Maybe I can repair those at home if I have free time.

If I were to have the ideal Fabia, I'd prefer a 1.4 16v 100hp version, I'm not really big on diesels. Naturally aspirated gas engines are just so revvy and fun to drive. Less parts to break too.

I did the same, mine were from eBay.

I was going to get one of those "hot glue dent pullers" from Amazon. It was @jars who recommended them to me, so he may be able to provide some information on them.

The 1.4 16v would be nice for me too. Personally, I wouldn't mind a diesel though. The 1.4 8v does seem like the best for the DIY mechanic, at least compared to the technical level of the other engines from the range. :)
