I have had very very angry wasps end up inside it after hitting neck and making it by chance inside alive........

When I was training I didn't shut the visor (I wear specs) and got hit in the face by a bee at about 60mph. FFS that hurt a lot.

Ohhhh bugger! I have been hit on the neck a good few times in summer months especially, never good. Imagine one right in the eye!!!!

Been there, OUCH!

Did anyone see the police program where they attended a motorcycle accident and a bloke had hit a pheasant with his helmet. It went straight through his visor.

IIRC his face was so battered and swollen that he couldn't get his helmet off!

Well I've just pre booked my cbt and 6x2hour lessons for my bike license can't wait to get going... Anyone got any good tips I should know or anything as I'm totally new to biking

If you haven't already get yourself a good fitting, comfortable helmet and protective clothing and stick it all on a couple of times to get used to it.

As for the CBT, I found it a really long day, probably because I did direct access and had to do a couple of hours on a 500 after the CBT, I wished I'd taken a drink with me, I was a bit dehydrated by the end of the day.

Just bought one of these for relaxed weekend fun to go along with the GSA, in those exact colours :) It's only done 1100 miles, is box fresh, and over £2k cheaper than new. Will be fun for those days when I just fancy a casual bimble out into the back roads around cheshire / north wales.

What he says. A good helmet shop will let you walk around in one for 10 or 20 minutes (at least Hein Gericke did) just to make sure you like it. The helmet should be quite tight when you buy it, it'll wear in after a short while.

I like that. Brimma probably would too. What is it and what are the specs? When I get another bike I've been thinking about something like this.

Think its a Kawasaki W650, kind of an old school replica with modern running gear.

Irs a Kawasaki W800 SE :)

Everyone thinks they are based on Bonnies etc, but they are actually based around the early Kawasaki W series from the mid 60's.

Its fun though, the 1200GSA for distance work and a bit of green laning fun, W800 just for chugging around the backlanes at a weekend :) indulging my midlife Steve McQueen crisis ;)

About 30 years since I cocked my leg over a Honda C90 to get through my one part test in 1982

Since then, zilch  :)
